CNN's Wolf Blitzer just had a segment that showed this "cartoon". Moments later they did a segment on the European cartoons of Mohammed in which they blurred the images "so as not to offend certain viewers".

I was so enraged that they considered those offensive but not the cartoon of the American Soldier and Secretary of Defense... I've been emailing and leaving phone messages at CNN for the last hour - disgusted beyond belief!

An apology is not enough. Personally, I don't think what they have done is forgivable since they will not really be sorry, they'll just mouth the words in order to keep their little gravy train running.

The very least that should be expected is a MASSIVE contribution to an association that aids wounded military men and women and their families. Otherwise, I think they should be deliberately driven into bankruptcy.

Thanks for the post. I was floored when I saw this on ABC News last night. When interviewed, Toles smugly said, "They [the Joint Chiefs] should focus on the availability of body armor to every soldier rather than the cartoon."
