Yesm, I knew MNJohnnie is a charter member of the quisling brigade ;)
I love how they sing their theme song while sticking their fingers in their ears.

The President does realize he has veto power, doesn't he? What was with the line-item veto biz last night?

Well I guess the answer is the Whine All The Time Choir is going to cling to the same old tired nonsense they have spewed a few thousand times before and continue to be completely politically irrelevent instead of actually trying to do something about the problem. Have fun spending the rest of your lives as political irrelevents. Note for you Boyos. Just posting the same old tired whines day in day out on Free Republic does NOTHING to solve the problem you CLAIM you care about.

What was with the line-item veto biz last night? An attempt to paw off responsibility for his lack of spine. He knew that Congress already attempted to pass such a thing last decade, and SCOTUS rightly declared it unconstitutional.

Random capitalization really reinforces lame arguments.
And by that I mean it makes them even more lame, not more effective.

Yeah, funny how the Whine All the Time Choir scream for veto's of bills that all ready passed the Congress with more then enough votes to override the veto.
Which bills were those exactly? You do know what a veto is, right? You do know that a veto sends a bill back to both houses of Congress where it has to be overridden by a two-thirds majority.
Sure, you knew all that.

What disinformation would that be? The chart posted at #6? By all means, pretend it's not real. Denial suits you well.

I think Congress would be in such a state of shock at the fact that he actually vetoed one of their bills that they wouldn't know what to do.

Congress, of course, is by no means off the hook. But if the president is going to call for spending cuts, then he should be expected to put his veto pen where his mouth is.

"Whaaa, I hate the Republicans. They are doing stuff I don't like. Whaaa" Guess what Whiners. Win an election ANY where on your agenda. You cannot. Politics involves compromises. NOTHING in Life is perfect. You grit your teeth, pick the side that most agrees with your views and fight tooth and nail to get them to do the things you want. In Dec the Republicans passed, and Bush signed a 40 billion Deficit Reduction bill. We can all agree that is NOT enough but the Daily Whiners are NOT interested in political realities, they are just interested in whining. They are NOT interested in getting things done, they just want to sit on their butts and pat themselves on the back about how "ideological pure" they are. Go ahead and break you arms patting yourselves on the back whiners. But know that all this whining does NOTHING to actually SOLVE the problems you CLAIM to care about. Simply amazing how people who CLAIM to be so upset about spending are so pathetically desperate to help elect a Democrat controlled Government that will give them 100% of what they CLAIM to loath. So either the whiners are politically STUPID or Lying about their REAL agenda

Congress, of course, is by no means off the hook.Don't worry, there's only one quisling on this thread who thinks anyone here is letting Congress off the hook. Of course, as soon as someone tries to criticize the Republicans in Congress, he'd no doubt throw an infantile tantrum over that as well.

Now where is that pesky veto pen again???? He has it, but the balls to use it have gone missing. He has vetoed nothing, something only seven previous presidents have done (that includes Garfield and Harrison, who didn't really serve long enough to do anything). He even promised to sign the "assault weapons" ban renewal, although that didn't make it to his desk.
To: MNJohnnie
Yeah, funny how the Whine All the Time Choir scream for veto's of bills that all ready passed the Congress with more then enough votes to override the veto. Guess the Whiners all slept thru their High School Civics classes. Wonder when the Winers will actually develop the guts to call the CONGRESS to account for it's out of control spending?
When the President has the guts to veto and Congress has the guts to override it...
