>> The government has designed a system to enslave everyone

That's the only kind there has ever been. One group conquers and subjugates another in order to exploit it economically. They are the government. Listen to law enforcement officers today in America, once "land of the free." For many years they have called us "subjects," not citizens. The state owns us.

Why do they call us "subjects?" Aren't we more like inventory?

To remind us that we are state property. Inventory, if you wish :-) We have been subjugated. We exist to pay taxes to our owners; the older word for this was paying "tribute," at swordpoint.

Government is tax herding. We, the people, are the herd. There is nothing about government that can't be explained by 1) the Mafia protection racket, and 2) a good manual on animal husbandry.

I was reading in the Feb. 6 - March 4, 2006 National Catholic Register an article credited to North Country Gazette, Feb 13, which tells how David Ridenour, attorney for hospice where Terri resided, that Ridenour facilitated Michael and Jodie's marriage.

Ridenour was a member of the marriage tribunal in the Diocese of St. Petersburg, thereby defying canon law which prohibits marriage if a person causes death of his/her spouse.

This comes from the Boston Globe...

The emphasis in the press and the response of the governor has been to focus on the removal of Haleigh Poutre's life support rather than on what led to the tragedy.

DSS doesn't need a shift, it needs a thorough review

Kevin Fobbs of Renew America writes....

Bob Schindler, father of Terri Schiavo, joined me February 16th on The Kevin Fobbs Show on News Talk 1400 WDTK to announce the national launch of an initiative to annually honor the memory of Terri Schiavo, as well as celebrate the "Culture of Life," by gathering pledges from every state in the nation to respect the Culture of Life. We joined arms to support March 31 as Terri's Day in every station in the nation.

Why do we need a celebration of the Culture of Life or a national day of remembrance? Our nation needs it because we have wandered too far from our historic Judeo Christian roots. Therefore, we are seeking at least 1 million pledge signers from all 50 states — as well as from international supporters — who would certainly agree.

Honor a Terri Schiavo Terri's Day by joining national pledge drive http://www.renewamerica.us/columns/fobbs/060228

For us Catholics, this comes as Ash Wednesday begins.

I have another canonical question. Is Jodie committing "assisted suicide" by marrying a wife-murderer?

Inventory is a good word. It seems like that's all we are. It has been said that one reason for the "amnesty" is to shore up Social Security. The politicians have been raiding the fund since its inception, not realizing that pretty soon people were going to expect payment. People are living longer these days. One doctor(the story was posted here)said that people living longer, so he envisioned the retirement age being pushed upward to 85.

Forced exit is going to become more prevelant as time goes on.

Cheryl Ford just sent this reminder....

MAYBE YOU HEARD THIS ONE ~

Marie tried.

Several times…

But she just couldn’t…  couldn’t leave him.

Mike was so charming, warm, giving when they met.

He swooped her plumb off her feet!

At 20 he asked her to marry, and she was thrilled.

After several years however – it wasn’t going so well.

He constantly berated her, checked the odometer for how many miles she drove, relentlessly questioned her.(Later, it was found he stalked a previous girlfriend…)

Surely things would get better if she was more loving, giving, did exactly what he asked.

When he kept losing jobs, she automatically would take up the slack – cut back on items for the house, not buy clothes for herself so he could look great.

She loved him but what could she do?

She felt she was trapped.  How could she disappoint her family…

How could she possibly endure his rage if she tried to leave?  Perhaps he would seek retribution on her cats or worse, her family…

Co-workers noticed the bruising and “pinch marks”, though she tried to hide them.  Jackie, her best friend, confronted her about it – as best friends should do – and Marie struggled to explain.  Later, Jackie told the family that Marie confided that she and Mike had a huge fight and Jackie suggested that Marie come and stay.

But Marie didn’t want to cause trouble.

That decision of Marie’s ultimately cost her life, though she would suffer in almost complete silence for a number of years before she finally died.

How familiar does this sound?

We constantly hear tales of battered women’s plight in our society, women that suffer in silence.  Women from good homes, with often little outer sign of trouble…  “A smile to hide the tears” as the song goes.

So why don’t we, as a society, as friends, as family members, help women like Marie?  Do we just not know?  Can we turn a blind eye and say it doesn’t affect me?

Later it would be discovered through medical records sealed for years and finally opened, that Marie had fractured both hip joints, cracked or broken multiple ribs on both sides, both knees, the upper part of her right leg, her right and possibly her left ankle and several vertebrae – yet she clung to life, desperate to tell her story, perhaps hoping to save someone else from this injustice.

After she was found unconscious in the hallway of their home and taken to the emergency room, Mike’s lawyer arrived even before Marie’s family did.  Interestingly, Mike never performed CPR on her, though he had just completed the training.  After several court cases, therapies were begun, only to be stopped repeatedly. Written records of her progress by her therapists (such as eating jello and purposeful interaction) were expunged from her files before the next business day.

But Marie hung on.  If she could just hang on long enough to tell her side of the story.  But Mike still controlled.  He wasn’t about to let that happen…

This true story is ripe for a “John Grisham” to develop into a full-blown detective tale for the wide-screen.  And like a good story or movie, you might think you know where the author is taking you or how things will turn out.  The fun of a good story well told is that the writer continues to surprise you - to keep you turning the pages long after the light should be turned off.

In this case however there is no fun involved, for you already know who I’m talking about, though probably not by that name.

This is Theresa Marie Schindler Schiavo’s story – Terri Schiavo.

Surprised?

Then examine extensive research presented in Our Fight4Terri by Cheryl Ford, RN and Dr. JE Craddock.  ISBN 1-4120-6140-7.  Available from www.fight4terri.com .

Peruse copies of actual court records and eyewitness accounts (related under oath), read data from medical professionals and other expert witnesses – all telling a much different story than the one most of us heard.  Read the explicit and conclusive scenario developed with the assistance of world-renowned medical and legal forensic experts as the only plausible cause for Terri's condition and injuries. Read the truth about her medical condition and her potential for rehabilitation according to numerous medical experts, including those representing the court review system in Florida's Department of Health.

So – one wonders…  How much of this is going on in our country right now?  In January, 2006 the news told of 19 workers in a hospice arrested for misuse of funds, neglect and abuse of patients.  How many more?

Read Our Fight4Terri to find out how to help the disabled amongst us who are at the mercy of unscrupulous characters.  The frightening thing is –any of us might fit that description at one time or another – unless we as a country do something about it.

Cheryl Ford's book is excellent. If I get a call from someone needing some background, I can go to her book instead of my Terri briefcase which is full of notes, phone numbers, mementos, etc.

By the way, I found a note of mine and it was on February 23rd that Jeb had a scheduled deposition - Ken Connor was at the deposition room to depose Michael Schiavo and Jodi the concubine. They ducked their deposition WITHOUT PENALTY thanks to Judge Greer and their attorney assigned to assist their depo dodges, name was Ham Baskin, a graduate of Largo High School, same as J. Greed, a graduate of Largo Hi but Baskin is in his mid-fifties. Greed's in his mid-sixties.

MS and JC dodged depos at least three times.

Darned if I can figure out how one low potassium reading results in these injuries: "...fractured both hip joints, cracked or broken multiple ribs on both sides, both knees, the upper part of her right leg, her right and possibly her left ankle and several vertebrae..."

Hmm, I hadn't thought of a fictionalized version... I know a writer with real dramatic flair who's backed up by a top-rank editor. Let me try a phone call or two :-)

Just yesterday I received my copy of Terri's Story: The Court-Ordered Death of an American Woman, by Diana Lynne. (Bought from Amazon.) I can't write a book review yet, natch, but I've started reading and I like it. Diana Lynne writes well and thoughtfully.

Well worth repeating. The parallels are most disturbing. The only differences between my ex and MS, was that my ex was always employed, and I was strongly discouraged from working. When I did work, I had to turn over my paycheck. All of it. I was too stupid to lie about what I made (telemarketing commisions, Avon earnings which fluctuate because they're commision only). I couldn't believe that he made such little money, only to find out from my attorney when we were divorcing how much he actually earned. I almost started crying. He was too cheap to hire an exterminator, fix faulty wiring, replace the carpeting.

My mom kept telling me to pray more and try harder. She considered divorce a mortal sin. By the time I was able to get a divorce, I lost my faith in God. Pretty much like my mother in law did. It's been a hard road back, but I had to realize that it wasn't God's fault.

I think the most stupid thing I did was keep silent. He said that if I called the cops, the kids would go to foster homes. He would have done it, too. I kick myself in the ass still for feeling embarassed over his actions.

It was a blessing that Terri didn't have children. Scott Thomas is a victim of domestic violence. He is a father, and his child is being held hostage. Tripped over the dog and fell backwards? Sure, and I'll bet he had those funny walls and doors that jump out at you.

My ex will use anyone to get what he wants. He is a pathological liar, and I have been told that I have an excellent case for a civil suit charging him with libel and defamation of character. The problem is that I'm just so tired, and my aunt wants me to move on before my health gets worse. I'm just sick to death of letting this man get away with everything.

Once he got what he wanted, he threw his inlaws out of the house, including her kids. They live with their father now. He used my daughter's bf to coerce her to lie in a deposition. When he got what he wanted, he quit paying their rent. They moved across country to mooch off his mom. Before this happened, I was paying their bills, because the little b@stard can't hold down a job. I did it for the baby's sake. My girl is following down the same road as me. I warned her over and over again, but now I can't help her.

I could have ended up like Terri or Scott. My guardian angel must have been working pretty hard. The kids could have ended up like Haleigh, but I dove on them and took the punches. I would really like for my ex to be exposed, but I'll settle for the knowledge that he will have to account for his actions to the Lord. Gee, it's a wonder that I didn't turn into a jackbooted feminazi ;-p
