>> What kind of leader can be talked out of his convictions?

Republicans.

Well, I dunno about that. I have pretty unshakeable convictions about those things, but now you mention it, maybe you are right. Ok, to heck with my convictions, I agree.

News about Haleigh today is a repeat of earlier stories about her mother snubbed at her birthday. It is gratifying that she has such a high profile attorney as Wendy Jean Murphy at her side, assuring this battle for Haleigh will persevere.

News regarding Terri revolves around the stem cell battle in California.

It would be nice to air motives on why it is so essential to harvest stem cells from babies rather than focus on the other sources which have proved application already, if I understand the controversy right. Could it be the pitch for embyronic stem cell research is a strawman to support abortions?

Here is the pitched battle:

$3B Calif. stem cell agency fight for life

A little irony in the title......

:-)

Republicans run on the limited government platform. There is no such thing as limited government, but it sounds good. They warn us that power corrupts, then they get into office and prove it by being corrupted.

The Democrats have no such problems. They have no convictions to begin with, except "get yours." They positively wallow in the rush to corrupt and to be corrupted.

remember the red headed gestapo? "This isn't a game, maam."

They were so serious and dedicated, that if they were supporting a noble cause, it would be a source of pride. to us all. But it was bone chilling to realize their serious dedication was to implementing an edict to murder Terri according the proper rules set out by the judge, et al.

If the judge said she was to be murdered, by golly, it will be done right, and by the book!

Same looks of sincerity, same pride in a job properly done, as if their efforts were noble.

There was a recent FR post of an article about the promise of non-embryonic stem cells, and it mentioned very hopeful research (in mice) about growing neuronal cells to reverse strokes and brain damage.

One thinks immediately of what that could have done for Terri. Somewhere in the autopsy report, as I recall, Dr. Thogmartin got on a soapbox to say that Terri could never hope to regenerate all the neurons she lost. Ironic that within a year, we can read news stories precisely about the possibility of regrowing the neurons with stem cells. I wonder if Dr. Thogmartin is that far out of touch that he doesn't know about this stem cell research and its possibilities.

There is another factor as well. We Republicans of years back agreed on these many values we still share today, but we gained little traction. Some of our crowd took bigger steps, and were quickly rewarded with prominence and fame. It is a bit (or more) like selling one's soul. The taste of power trumps the taste of money and is addictive.

A new and foreign concept grows, that of compromise. Compromise just a little, get a big reward. And you are launched into the new level of power. Some cleaved mostly to original convictions and still did well, a rare thing indeed.

The senator from New York has something to say about stem cells, too!

Faithfully reported by the illustrious St. Pete Times...

"They decided the most important health issues were exploiting the tragedy of Terri Schiavo and stifling stem cell research," said Clinton, who last year drew criticism for staying mum when the Senate pushed for intervention in the Schiavo case.

Snip

Kerr said she's a strong voice for the Democratic Party. "She's mellowed, if you will, over the last couple years," Kerr said. "She's not nearly as far left as people used to think."

Ya think?

Time to take our country back, Clinton tells crowd

There is an interesting thread on the sidebar, dealing with child support. The government has designed a system to enslave everyone. It's hard to avoid manufactured misery these days.

I'm in a Catch 22. My ex made things so miserable that I had a couple of mild strokes. I have no health insurance, so I applied for SSDI. That can take a couple of years. My medication costs 107.00 a month, but we moved, and rent isn't cheap. I need to be able to see a doctor to work. I'm thinking about checking out Canadian pharmacies, but I heard you can get in trouble for ordering meds online.

Politicians, for the most part, are addicted to pork. Many also have an agenda that they are pushing. Total control over people's lives for one thing. Things sure did get messed up, didn't they?

There are other ways to harvest stem cells than killing off human embryos. What about harvesting them from umbilical cords? They've had success with that procedure.

I hope that someone of Ms. Murphy's calibre can keep Haleigh safe. I don't understand why CPS is treating this case the way they are, unless they have something to hide. I'm not talking about cutting off her life support. It's blacklisting the bio mom, and the tight control over any information on her condition that worry me.

Well looky there. Hillary stood on her hind legs, and barked. Good doggie! Someone call Hartz Mountain, because that bitch needs to be wormed!

Social Services are probably just acting like social services do because of the bureaucracy they are, like dogs bark and cats meow and Pavlovian communists salivate.

www.tbo.com jump to Tampa Tribune. Michelle Beardon did a long story about Christians and when it came to TERRI, she interviewed an anti-Christian. Beardon's article also referred to Terri was being in a coma for 15 years.

Terri's physically DEAD but the death worshippers/mainstream media is still killing her. Why? They are trying to kill her memory. FAT CHANCE.

Michelle Beardon's email address as per the Tampa Tribune is: mbeardon@tampatrib.com

Until the lying media and the govt stops promoting and killing innocents, I won't be moving on. (notice the death promoters haven't moved on, have they?) Therefore, why should we?

1. ARREST THE GUILTY PARTIES, JUDGES AND LAWYERS AND 2. FOLLOW THE CONSTITUTION WHILE 3. GUTTING FLORIDA'S DEATH LAWS. They are designed for MURDER. That's what I say.

Visit http://www.judgegeorgegreer.com to see how they robbed and murdered Terri Schindler schiavo(means slave) and "felo" means kill. FV

I wouldn't call spending like a shipful of drunken sailors is what republicans ever envisioned. The money is all going overseas. How can you have limited government where there is taxation without representation? Surely, when Terri was murdered last year, date of death March 31, 2005, we were subject to taxation without representation. Our dollars paid people in govt to facilitate, promote, deceive, point guns at Vigilers and then killed her after torturing her.

Florida is STILL the STARVATION STATE.

Vote for Republicans who would not kill someone like Terri and don't vote for Republicans who would kill someone like Terri.

It's that simple or their oaths of office are fraudulent.

Two pro-life positions. In opposing them, the St. Pete Times shows its pro-death agenda (again).

"Someone like Terri" means, that she was an American. That's what I always said at the Vigil. She was an American. No other labeling is required.

I think that re: the wealth tv program, maybe they are going to sell copies of their program because I don't know if anyone saw it or if it was cancelled.

If the guy in charge of wealthtv is THAT wealthy, he needs to have better marketing.

Prayer request for Charlotte from the UK.

"Normally, when a baby is sick, people scramble to care for the child. But when doctor's learned that Charlotte was sick, they scrambled to get a court order to not give her medical care.

http://charlottewyatt.blogspot.com/

Pray for Little Miss Charlotte. And pray for her family. It's hard enough having a sick baby when doctors are doing everything they can to help. Imagine doctors just refusing to help because they think your disabled child's life isn't worth living."

Sent via email from a Terri's freeper to me.
