The first five bullets from the AK-47, delivered in two short bursts, tore through the metal of the U.S. Postal Service mailbox.

Oh my! You mean the bullets didn't just bounce off in a shower of sparks, like in the movies!? </sarcasm>

I guess they don't know that just about ANY rifle bullet will go through a bullet proof vest.

It would sound like the primary problem is criminals and drugs, not the particular weapon.

Even if it was possible to confiscate ALL their weapons, the essential problem would still be there.

Here's a link that shows AK Mags that hold 30, 40, 50, and 75 rounds.

Besides the drums, I was was pretty sure I'd seen mags that would hold that much.
