She's hopping on the bandwagon. IF she could be part of a successful stoppage she'd vote no in a flash.

Given the success of the cloture vote, they only need 51 "yes"s to confirm, right?

Now she's not going to get $2 from the high roller at DU.

I expect this is the case too. She's not a Senator that anyone describe as "courageous".

She finally got her butt off the fence!
Typical RINO having Number One as the
prime consideration.

Nice. I expect Alito to get around 62-65 votes for confirmation.

If she is,this vote certainly won't help her.Maine, like four of the five other New England states,is blue, blue,BLUE! It hasn't always been thus, but refugees from elsewhere (including a very large influx of homosexuals) have turned it into a filthy place.

That was my first reaction as well.

I guess it hasn't been a good year for a Snowejob.

My official prediction is 62-47 with one absent or voting "present."

Right. Alito is safe home. His wife SHOULD
be sitting next to Laura Bush tonight.

Overall, even the NY Times is now calling
the Democratic "effort" pathetic. But the
world is better off with Kennedy/Kerry/
Clinton/Schumer (New York's finest! [gag])
accusing GWB of "living in a bubble!" They
can't see reality: themselves being inside
a DOUBLE BUBBLE.

Maine is no longer what it once was. It is now largely comprised of whiners and complainers and lots and lots of homosexuals. No tax is too big and no outrage is too small. That's the Maine of today.

Ever notice the gay folk tend to hang out near coastlines. Why is that?

"Bet she's up for re-election in '06, ain't she?"

Ding ding ding! We have a winner! RINO's do tend to drift to Republican positions as elections near, don't they?

Actually 50 senators and Cheney to break the tie would confirm Alito.
