Rest in peace????
Do you have some news?
Some History of the NYT.

'standing up in the back hatch'
Bob, don't stand up with your head and upper torso sticking out of a hatch when your the lead vehicle. Read how Ernie Pyle
took a slug to the head in WW2 while you are recuperating.
"Bob Woodruff and a cameraman were seriously injured Sunday when the Iraqi Army vehicle they were traveling in was attacked with an explosive device."
Bad insurgents, bad insurgents ...
Prayers for these fellows, I certainly hope they will both be OK.
"How does one tell if an ABC news anchor has suffered a head injury?"
That's a very good question.
Bet there is no difference. I didn't watch him anyway so it has NI impact on my life.
Funny how they keep referring to the vehicle without specifying what it was -- a Russian BMP. They call it an Iraqi vehicle, a lees-secure vehicle, but won't call it a Russian BMP because then they'd have to perhaps recognize that NO ONE's LAVs make everyone secure, all the time.
It was shown yesterday around noon AZ time on Fox News, if I can find a link with a photo I will post it.
Easier with a brain injury, the bleeding around the seat of the pants gives it away.
Tom spoke with Bob's wife and she said "she talked to a Dr. and is somewhat encouraged that the swelling seemed to have decreased even more in his brain."
They have had to remove part of the skull plate to relive even more of the pressure.
They don't know whether it was a concussion, or if shrapnel in fact hit the brain.
It will be 48 to 72 hours before we know for sure what the prognosis is likely to be.
He took some shrapnel in the neck and has a broken collar bone and ribs.
BUT he did talk immediately after the attack.

Damn serious....
You sound positively....medieval.
I still miss Michael Kelly.
May he forever rest comfortably and in peace.
Well, he has a new perspective now. I wonder how long it will take him to blame Bush for not warning him that standing up in the hatch of a Soviet made APC while in convoy could result in injury or death.
This story was not worthy of the coverage it received. Woodmuff is being treated like a potential MOH recipient by his colleagues. But when was the last time any of them mentioned acts of heroism and bravery on the part of our troops? When was the last time Woody and friends mentioned the award of a Navy Cross or Silver Star and the real heroes who earned them?
I hope the Journalist are OK, but the way I see it, the IED took them out of the picture before they had a chance to stab our troops in the back with another round of bad reporting.
After listening to RUSH's comment on this I wonder just how serious the "injuries" were.
IRAQ: Body Armor Likely Saved ABC News Pair ~ Take that Hillary....
Very very serious see update link just above...serious brain injury!
