McCain cannot forgive Bush for beating him in the 2000 primary. He is a small man.

After McCain's "Bill of Rights for Terrorists" a friend of mine started calling him John McMurtha.

I'm just glad you pointed this out for Levin's blog.

I had heard the "spin" McCain had a "Good" meeting with Howard awhile ago, but didn't remark much on it because frankly I didn't believe it. From all I've seen of Howard, he's a very good man. And I don't say that about most politicians. A real friend to the United States and this President in particular. Far more of a conservative then McCain could ever tolerate.

Now we get the flipside to McCain's spin meant only for our ears here in the U.S. We weren't supposed to hear these damning comments made overseas against the President, our military, our country, Howard and Australia.

I'm bookmarking this column and posting it to anyone that says we have to take McCain just 'cause Hillary is Hillary. That excuse just ain't good enough.

I wish we could ship McCain out. Ambassader to Hamas maybe?

LOL....perfect.

I do know one thing...I wish we could force him to quit the Senate while running for POTUS..like Dole did.

That way...when he loses...we will be rid of him totally.

I PLEDGE TO DEFEAT McCain

I pledge the same thing almost every time I read his name in the news...how often must he remind us of how deeply we despise him? I am cautious about saying never, but as of now, should McCain be the Republican nominee, I would rather see Hillary in the White House. This would at least allow us the possibility some unified opposition from Congress...with McCain, our voice will be marginalized and ignored.

It seems clear to me that McCann is probably going to succumb to his cancer sooner or later. I just wish that it wouldn't be after he has so screwed up the 2008 elections that he sets up Hillary to win.

If George Allen or Mitt Romney don't build a strong showing very soon, the answer is "YES" you will see McCain as the Republican front runner and possible nominee.

Can he get the nomination? If the media party votes for him, he still does not have enough votes for dog catcher of the nation. And IF by chance he got the nomination, a huge number of Republicans would not vote for him.

I am one of those idiots because my other alternative was Starky (Dim) or Hancock (Lib). At least the RINOs won by 76.7%. But I sure wish we had a clone of Kyl for his seat.

Unlike campaign past...even as lately as Bush's 2000 election..perhaps it was more important that the candidates mount a campaign themselves...

BUT, I think now...and with what talk radio and the internet did to sway the South Dakota election in 2004, I think it is in OUR best interests to start weeding out potential candidates...

and when we see someone we like...WE can get a grassroots campaign going in a matter of weeks...not months like before.

At this point...we are probably more at the stage of knowing who we DON'T WANT...and can have a grassroots effort to get America to look in different directions than the MSM is trying to get them to look...

It is already only 2 1/2 years until next POTUS election..and, given that there is no VP waiting to pick up the mantle...we can't wait...it must start now.

US neglects region for Iraq: McCain
Geoff Elliott, Washington correspondent
January 28, 2006
GEORGE Bush is neglecting the Asia-Pacific region as his administration is drawn into the deteriorating war in Iraq, says the senior Republican senator tipped to become the next president of the US.

John McCain, who has become one of the hottest tips for the presidential ticket in 2008, said the US had dropped the ball in the region, citing recent decisions by Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice to cancel visits to Australia, Indonesia and Malaysia.

His comments support anxiety within Australia's foreign policy circles and throughout the Pacific that the US is ignoring the region.

Australia is still waiting for a new US ambassador, almost a year after Tom Schieffer was appointed ambassador to Japan.

Does this mean McLame won't be here for Monday's cloture vote? And John "Filibuster" Kerry has just swept in from Switzerland?

Let us all pray, then fight like dogs NOT to have the choice be between Hillary or McCain...

If they were the candidates I could see maybe 20% of Americans going to the polls...OR the biggest write-in effort in history...LOL

Not only is he saying that in AUSTRALIA...but, while he was in Davos...he was spewing his crapola about how our military is torturing and abusing the terrorists in Gitmo, STILL!!!

Yeppers...he is overseas blasting our military...saying that nothing has been done to clean up the nastiness being done in Gitmo...

What a despicable man...and don't forget, he is leading the bandwagon to get hearings on the corruption of the Administration re: Abramoff...
