The Preble's meadow jumping mouse is, in fact, a distinct creature, according to a U.S. Geological Survey study

The previous study, which was done by a biologist since hired by Norton's department, concluded there was no genetic difference between the Preble's meadow jumping mouse When you can't get the "right" result from a biologist, call in the geologists.

"Listed by the government as a threatened species since 1998..."Just who's President NOW??
High time to rescind ANYTHING Clinton's ever enacted, or ANYONE he's appointed.

They should have just brought in a cat. As far as a cat is concerned, all mice taste the same, it doesn't matter what color they are, if they can jump, where they can live or anything else -- a mouse is just a mouse.

Yes let's protect the mouse!

I think we should increase taxes and abolish the 2nd amendment in our quest to save this endangered creature. :)

My cat, A.K.A. "Democat" has laudably volunteered to care for all such mice. He asks that they be sent vis UPS to his address.

Do it for the good of the mice.

    Good grief!

Animals go extinct all the time - a mouse is not something I get all excited about. Let it go extinct and concentrate on more serious matters like terrorists and border security.

    Don't forget - about 4,000 a day!

I agree with you. Let it go extinct and save some little human beings.

...where it can abruptly switch directions in mid-flight. How the heck does it do that?
