She lost her job because the left only wants religious freedom to extend to those who despise religion.
Pro-life ping.
There are other pharmacist jobs out there. Screw Target.
Good luck with the EEOC filing. My wife was fired in writing without cause after years of good service for telling her boss she was pregnant. We lost in a suit to reclaim back wages and cost of insurance for child.

DISCUSSION ABOUT: "Target Pharmacist Fired for Refusing to Dispense Abortifacient Morning-After Pill"

So why didn't she say "We don't carry that prescription. Please try another pharmacy." Sounds like she brought it on herself.
God, Bless her for her stand.
I eagerly await walking into a bookstore only to have the clerk tell me she won't sell me the book I want because it offends his/her beliefs.
She lost her job because she refused to do it.
Interesting that there have been a number of "conscientious objector" pharmacists in the same small geographic area lately. A planned campaign, apparently.
My pharmacist failed to fill a perscription my Doctor had written for me. He interpreted the FDA warning saying that this med shouldn't be taken for more than 5 days to mean that it could only be filled once in a person's lifetime, and that I can never get a refill.
Why isn't the left here to string this guy up? Is it because I am not trying to end a pregnancy?
Shame on Target. Another reason not to shop there...
From yesterday's St. Louis Post-Dispatch report on the story:
"Said Williams: Im not in judgment of anyone. I want my right not to fill something, much as they have their right to get Plan B filled.
So she DOES admit women have the right to the prescription.
From the article:
"Williams is losing her job even though the Target store where she worked has never stocked Plan B."
She couldn't have filled the prescription in any case. The proper response for her to give to the customer was:
"I'm sorry. This Target pharmacy doesn't stock that medication. You'll have to get it from another pharmacy, I'm afraid."
Apparently, that wasn't her response to the customer. I'm thinking she gave the customer a little lecture, instead. I'd have fired her, too.
So much for freedom of conscience. This isn't necessarily a religious debate. There are those that aren't believers but think this is murder.
As a result, doctors must perform a procedure that they may find morally reprehensible, or lose their job. If they must complete an AB that was botched, and they refuse to do so on moral grounds, they can be sued. If they refuse to fill a prescription at the pharmacy, they can be fired. Yet Howard "Yeearghhh" Dean doesn't give a damn about these people, and never will. In the end, it's all about the money.
Perhaps while the Dims are trying to paint Republicans as evil because they merely know how to pronounce the word "Abramoff", someday we'll learn how many Rolls Royces these elected officials have been able to buy, due to donated money from lobby/left wing causes (from, unfortunately, both sides of the aisle).
The Brownshirts are back.
It would be nice to have a list of pharmacies that don't provide abortifacients for us to support.
Good!
If she cannot do the job, she should find a different one.
