You are correct! When my young cousin, a captain in the Air Force and a grad of the AF Academy, saw my insignia, he immediately said, "hooray for the US Army Air Corps!" That was nice, believe me.

Great report. Pat organized a couple of rallies in Reid Park.

Yes and on this past Saturday Pat and some friends, Free Republic and Protest Warrior came together again to support the troops on Saturday in front of the Davis Monthan Air Force base. The next day in church several Air Force personal expressed to me how great it was to finally see some support.

Here is a picture and a blog report:

I know someone
;-)
whose favorite thing to do in that situation (if she has the money to) is to quietly pay for their meal before leaving.

She
;-)
thinks it's so much fun to giggle all day about the pleasant surprise these heros got at the register.
Most restaurant owners/employees enjoy the sneakiness of it as much as she. They also like getting to inform the hero that their meal has been paid for by a grateful American citizen.

FUN!

I thought about that, and in retrospect I wish that I had.
Guess I had a Jack Benny moment there. ;-)

Honestly though, musicians (that's what I do) are just as broke as soldiers sometimes, especially with two kids in private school. Unfortunatly, this was one of those times.

Maybe I'll catch them next time, as long as it isn't in the San Francisco Steakhouse!
