Oh, now we're in court, your honor? Pardon me for saying so, but..this article has been looked over at many of the forefront sites on islam(Jihadwatch.org, faith-freedom.org, frontpagemag.com). They seem to have more insight than all of us here on this subject. Objectivity is on thing, but denial is just plain lazy.

Nope, the "insurgency" is finally getting the funding necessary to train, produce and recruit these lunatics in droves. There was never a limited amount of them in the ME. What you're seeing is technology coupled with money from the oil hooligans in OPEC. What do they all have in common? You guessed it, islam.

However, to me a more common and natural reason would be the feeling of being occupied.

Explain Germany and Japan. People tend not to be excessively concerned with the abstract of occupation when they know it is temporary, you are working for their physical good AND their previous ideology has been destroyed. What is lacking is the last because the mosques have not been burned, korans and daily prayers forbidden and Islam reduced to a byword. Before you object that you can't do that to a religion, Islam is not a religion. It is an ideology of total control masquerading as a religion. It is a violent cult that even if it were a religion, could not be tolerated to exist any more than it tolerates. It is an existential issue for both sides.

There are 2 answers:

(1) Political Correctness

Nowadays, even as we fight Islam, or Islamofascism, for our lives, it simply is not allowable to say that something, or someone, or some "religion," is evil.

(2) Good Old American Naïveté.

I.E., Methodism is just as good as Episcopalianism, as Judaism, as Congregationalism, as Catholicism, as Islam, as Hinduism, as Bhuddism.

How many times have you heard a well-meaning fellow say; "Hell, we're all God's children ... all worshippin' the same God under different names, ain't we?" It's understandable. There's many a town in our country, and indeed throughout the Western World, where each of the above maintains a place of worship. Most of the time, we interact, live, and work with the people who attend them with minimal problems.

Someone once stated that the women of islam are the only ones capable of saving it, and I agree.

They also have the most to gain from it. I agree BTW. In Islam, many may not realize, but women are "lower" than men. The practice of clitorectomies at a very young age is pervasive throughout the muslim world. It makes intercourse very unenjoyable for them.

I heard on the radio yesterday that Nicole Kidman was "joining the ranks of those fighting for abused women." ...or something like that, joining Angela Jolie or someone else.

Since most of the abuse of women worldwide exists in the muslim world, whether in the Middle East or not, I'm just wondering when it's going to be attacked and "addressed" and brought into some light.

I have a friend who's a Fairfax Cty. deputy that's answered several calls of domestic violence that when he shows up, the man tells him full well what he did but just doesn't perceive anything wrong with it. That's a problem! Obviously it's part of Islamic culture.

Women in currently non-muslim countries also have the most to lose in contrast by allowing the spread of Islam within their own borders. It's a two way street.
