I am glad I don't know Keifer's politics, that is the way is should be. If he is a leftest a-hole then so be it, that is his right, but at least he isn't pushing it down our throats.

That should apply to all actors of any political persuasion. They can believe what they want but they don't need to preach it from the public pulpit.

Kiefer Sutherland is definitely NOT a conservative... he's just done a resonably good job of keeping his yapper shut.

Sutherland gave a promotion for an organization called Americans For Gun Safety Foundation (a group which "advocates" gun safety but definitely su[pports legislation which would make gun ownership more difficult).

On April 18, 2000, Sutherland was a featured speaker at the Friends of Medicare rally in Edmonton, Alberta, which sought to prevent the governing Conservative premier Ralph Klein from amending Bill 11 in a manner which protesters alleged would permit "two-tier health care" in Canada.

Like I said, he can be a liberal as long as he keeps his "yapper shut" (I like that term).

I don't know enough about the Gun Safety and Medicare organizations to make a big fuss out of it, but he is still entitled to his beliefs. My problem with actors is when they preach to you and me using their fame, TV or the public pulpit. I belong to organizations too (Boy Scouts of America and Ducks Unlimited) and not everyone likes them but his association with his own organizations is fine by me, just don't push it down my throat.

From what I can tell he has had 2 possibly public appearances in his 20+ years for acting for non-ultra left-wing organizations, in my opinion that is not the actions of a celebrity pundit.
