Now that's funny, and probably true!
What's the difference?
That is absolutely correct, and all of that starts at the top, with Pinch. If there was ever a classic case of the spoiled, idiot kid taking over the family business and running it into the ground, the NY Times is it. It is hard to believe that that newspaper had a reputation as one of the best newspapers in the world only thirty years ago. And now it's a national laughingstock.
And then, for the next nominee--I would imagine that it will be the first Hispanic ever nominated to the USSC--they'll be forced to filibuster him as the fifth conservative vote. The political fallout will be generational.
When does it intercept the Y-axis?
George Allen told the dems .. "BRING IT ON .. we'd love to exercise the nuclear option.
Poor ol' Reid was spitting and sputtinger all over the place .. PRICELESS!!
Unless, you are Bill Clinton according to the NYT. Where were they when he was BREAKING LAWS?!!! Sleeping in the Lincoln bedroom?! What hypocrites!
Hey Democrats, listen to the NYT, PLEASE! Filibuster Alito. Let's see who the "American People" think are the extremists, "Editors" at the NYT or Judge Alito.
You're right, but they're nuts to think a filibuster will get them anywhere. We not only win big if they filibuster, but the dems AND the NY Times will doom themselves and pay huge consequences for such a partisan stunt.
They should all go get rabies shots and placed in quarantine until they can act like civil human beings who aren't fixated on baby killing and protecting terrorists.
These guys are outrageous! Ruth Bader Ginsburg did the exact same thing and was an ACLU bigwig, but she was treated a lot better by the GOP than Alito was by the Dems.
What's the difference?
The difference is this: The Democrats have traditionally lied about what it is they stand for - - they have to lie in order to get elected. The Democrat Party's agenda of turning America into a Euro-style, secular socialist welfare state is something that they try to accomplish on the sly (mainly through the courts) since the vast majority of Americans would never knowingly vote for that agenda.
On the other hand, the MoveOn mice are loud and clear and utterly shameless about their support for that same agenda.
I hope that answers your question.
Regards,
LH
The dems already have a strategery in place for President Bush and his SC nominees, a "warning"

So nobody had the guts to sign their name to this drivel?
Oh sure; as if...
We've seen that title used in here often enough - how nice to see The Forces of Darkness resort to it now.
Yea .. demanding the Dems filibuster a USSC nominee is a bit over board
I don't think I've ever seen such a spectacle from EDITORS .. not reporters, but Editors of a major newspaper before
They have lost their minds
The two Arkansas senators had better think twice before they oppose Judge Alito. Some very prominent black voters are daring them to oppose him. They have come out in support of him and aren't very happy with either of "the senators" and will remember if they vote no. "The senators" will need to choose the NAG/NARAL gang or the voters. Either way, "the senators" from Arkansas lose on this one, which is a good thing.
I think this is treasonous.
These people are actively -- and in plain view -- working to unseat a sitting president for no other reason than the fact that they don't agree with him.
You know, you are exactly right.
