"Many millions of American literally idolize both Clintons and would follow them off a sudden cliff to their deaths."

They've already committed to following them off a gradual cliff.

I have to disagree with Rush about Kerry when he says "He was this dog-faced senator" - NO Rush, Kerry is a HORSE faced Senator.

All you wrote is true, but many Americans like her so much that they will support her forever regardless of the consequences.

Maybe, but I hope a strong candidate will unmask her.

"Unless Guiliani comes out strongly against abortion, and renounces his support of partial birth abortion, he won't even get the nomination."

Nor should he.

Abortion is the Holy Grail of the Democratic Party, and the root cause of that party degenerating into madness.

Better to lose a race for the right reasons than to win one for the wrong ones.

I think Mark Warner probably ruined that by giving former felons in Virginia the right to vote.

According to this article, Warner will have several defenses, including that most other states automatically restore felons' voting rights after release from prison, that he had to clean up the backlog of applications left by the previous administration, and that George Allen restored the voting rights of 460 felons while governor of Virginia.

Gephardt is in the "finally raking in private sector cash after retirement from politics" phase of his career. I wonder if he really wants the job, or could afford the pay cut.

Lieberman is too far right for today's Democratic party, he looks old, and he has the charisma of a lawn chair.

I guess Richardson is a contender, at least on paper. Somehow he doesn't seem presidential.

I think that's a valid fear. The nomination of Hillary, despite the protestations of most on this thread, is about the only thing that could mobilize enough conservatives in 2008 around any of the Bob Dole candidates on the bench that have been mentioned.

The nomination of Guiliani or Frist or, God save us, McCain, would, I suspect, keep a huge proportion of conservatives home.

Only a very few balding ponytailed girlymen could stand to have THAT shrieking at them for 4-8 years,

Can someone post a link to the audio file? Hannity plays it all the time.

All the republicans need is a thirty second commercial with Hillary screaming like that. Every married man in America will run like hell to the polls on election day to make sure he won't have to listen to that for four years.

So Hillary will talk some populist third-party candidate into running, drawing off half the conservative vote, and she wins by getting a plurality. Hey, it worked for her husband...

"And the answer to that question is far from certain, despite what Rush maintains. Many millions of American literally idolize both Clintons and would follow them off a sudden cliff to their deaths."

A couple years back I'd have agreed with you. Not any longer. I think the clintoons are long out of power. They destroyed any chance they had for her to be elected nationally. For one thing, if she's so great and has the black vote locked up, why is she pandering to blacks by dropping the race card? "You know what I mean", the constant plantation references.

She's also attempting to change the rat rules for the dim caucus to open in Iowa. She wants it to open in "another state"..presumably one such as NJ or NY or even MA where she'd win the first day of primaries in a largely libnut state. That tells me that her internal polling must be abysmally low in Iowa.

She can't even think of appealing to the majority of American voters, she's too unlikeable and that screeching, my GOD! She's more annoying and who could possibly listen to anything she says? She's got her horndog hubby speaking for her on many occasions but lately he contradicts her, which leads me to believe even HE doesn't want her in the White House. I don't think his bloated ego could handle it but no worries, she's toast.

"My biggest concern is McCain pulling a Ross Perot by running independant and screwing us over by splitting the conservative vote. "

Why would Mcvain willingly give up his senate majority seats on committees and willingly roll over to allow hitlery to win? It doesn't make any sense, but you're not the first person who's mentioned this here. If he went Indie, he'd give up what he's worked for in the senate for years. You have to remember that the GOP is the majority, senators don't drop from the majority party unless there is something in it for them. He would never want to be her VP either. There's no "there" there. I don't think Mcvain is even involved unless he can win the presidency for himself. Not sure he will even run.

I'd be much more impressed if I didn't remember Rush assuring us that Hillary Clinton would never run for Senate.

As much as I hate foregoing my favorite HIllary! nomenclature---namely, The Hildabeast---I think we should all take a cue from Rush and begin to incessantly refer to The Hildabeast as

MRS. BILL CLINTON

It's very important to remind the country at every opportunity that voting for MRS. BILL CLINTON is still the infamous Klintoon "two-fer" they were selling back in 1993. It should never be forgotten that putting MRS. BILL CLINTON back in the White House would also put the Sinkmeister back in the White House (though in separate wings).

Ick and ick.

Right on...bring it on! Maybe Ginsburg and Stevens will finally tire of being in the "minority" on the SCOTUS and it will push them to retire. I will love seeing two more Bush SCOTUS wins, after Alito. Can't get much better than this. LOL!
