I hate to keep repeating this but for you I will do it. :-)

You've never said one word about this to me on this forum before this minute.

Enough of this "Reagan Deficits" BS.

Try to find a link where I mentioned deficits? I can wait while you look.

As for the rest, I KNOW all that; I lived it; but that is NOT what we were talking about.

No, I haven't but I have said it alot and I thought you probably already knew it anyway but just in case .....

I guess I totally misunderstood. I would slink away and hide but I figured I owed you a confession and an apology. Sorry.

Now, don't get out twisted out of shape.

I remember THE DAY they all came out and said that they had an agreement..........all smiles............and I knew even then they were lying.

It wasn't Reagan's fault, and surely most of the spending Bush does and people around her carp about is from THE CONGRESS.

Picture This: Actor Ben Affleck, Senator From Va.???

You haven't heard it 'cause it's old news. He's not running. The RATS finally got a millionaire from Northern Virginia to run. They know they can't win, but they want George to spend his money in Virginia and not nationwide.

Well, we nominated Wendell Willkie 66 years ago...

Speak for yourself...I had nothing to do with it.

I just had one of those lightbulb moments.

I first heard about Mike Pence on Free Republic. He would be mentioned in threads where George Allen was talked about.

I am reading this thread tonight and thinking why is it I just don't seem to like Mike Pence? I've never seen him in the media so I can't base it on personal appearance or the way he talks. I've never read anything he has written and am not familiar with his voting record. But why is there this niggling distaste when he is mentioned on Free Republic?

Being a grassroots activist type I have had conversations with people here in Virginia where Mike Pence' name has come up and they have spoken highly of his conservative credentials. So why do I have this ill-defined negative impression of him?

I now realize that 90% of the time when I have read remarks about Mike Pence, they have come from you. Rather than build your candidate's image with confidence and enthusiasm you mention his name and in the same paragraph feel it necessary to tear down George Allen who, by the way, is a good and decent man.

There are several political issues I disagree with Sen. Allen on but having met him on occasion and watched his career, I believe he has great potential if he steers a steady ship.

So tonight I realize that I have no basis at all to dislike Mike Pence. My thoughts have been colored by your words.

For all I know he may be a better candidate but you do not serve him well by being his voice here on Free Republic if you continue to constantly pick fights and cover the same ground over and over and over.

Promote your guy! Give us links! Give us photos! Give us his stand on issues! We're willing to listen and learn about him. But it is way too early in the game for nit pickin' and much too tiresome.

We are fighting a war at home that is just as critical as the war in Iraq. We need all the good men we can lay our hands on, yourself included. Remember who the real enemies of America are. Neither Mike Pence or George Allen are one of those.

George Allen needs to smash this Mark Warner Wannabe hard. Allen needs to win by 10+ or else the Dem becomes a credible heir to Tim Kaine. If Allen is up to the task, then the VA GOP only has to worry about Creigh Deeds in 2009.

Yea, hes on Rush's radar but if you've been paying any attention at all Rush has been practically endorsing him for 2008 since december of 2004.

If you hadnt noticed by now, HitmanNY is always jumps onto these Allen threads and starts up the George Allen has no personality bandwagon. Its one thing to disagree with him on positions here and there, but at least be honest about it. Almost everyone who meets him or watches him on tv will acknolwedge that he comes off very personable.
