I think he WAS sort of joking, in a very dark way, but it had an important point: the open borders folks say that we need to allow illegal aliens to come into our country and stay because "they do the jobs Americans won't". Now that's disingenuous garbage and here in this article we can see the true fruits of allowing millions of uneducated, undocumented, third-worlders, many of them the worst element of their own countries to overrun us. So he was turning the rhetoric of the people who would coddle this villain against them. I think that type of black humor can be useful in deflating such false rhetoric and I don't think it at all makes light of or minimalizes this tragedy.

This idiot mother with two young boys, who was divorced so the father no longer lived in the house, allows a 24 year old homeless man to rent a room in her home because she felt sorry for him.

She met him at work and he hadn't been in the country that long, so how well could she have known him? But she brings him into her home, giving him full access to her children. And if the Dad knew about this arrangement he is as guilty as the mother.

The stupidity of people and their reckless behavior when children are involved never ceases to astound me.

Welcome to FR. He was being sarcastic. Most of us are pretty sick of hearing excuses for the illegals. Sarcasm like this is some peoples way of dealing with it. It's just the Freeper way. You'll find Freepers are pretty compassionate for the victims, but not the perpetrator.
