My "buy" signal is very simple and worked very well in the past.
When I am sitting in the dentist chair I ask the dental assistant how she is doing. If she is smiling, sell.
If she is in a panic because she and her husband will never be able to retire because their stocks have cratered, buy.
She was smiling at my last visit. :-)
