From 9/11 these men had all the Special Medical Care, along with all the workers.
There were periodic check and all the care needed.
SOOO How did this happen ???
Ping
This article leaves some questions. Did the three victims smoke? Did they wear a respirator while working at the site?
The article specifically identified at least two of the three as non-smokers.
Obviously, it was their own fault.
The guys who worked at the WTC site in the days/weeks/months following its collapse were breathing in God-only-knows-what during that time.
I'll wager that medical researchers will be studying these guys for years to come...cancer researchers, lung disease researchers, etc, etc.
It will not be happy. But it may be useful to have some larger understanding of what the true costs of this kind of tragedy really are.
Blessings to all the families of the valiant souls who perished there and the many others who have and will ultimately pay the price with their lives.
We must never forget the harm done to our Homeland.
these pictures and also those of the folks who were forced to jump from the heights of the WTC should be part of the evening news every day.
It should not be something to hide, but something to embrace, to toughen our resolve.
NEVER FORGET
Sounds like a press release from an attorney.
There are several other articles like this one from the past few days. Stand by for the next round of Dem attacks on "Bush knew and did nothing!" (blah blah blah)
Real Simple.. you spend 16 hours a day in an area filled with cement dust, asbestos, drywall dust, and lord knows what else for months at a time.. its going to take its toll.
Just because you get special care doesn't mean doctors can treat what ails you.
You can give a coal minor constant care as well, but if they are in the mine long enough, without proper protection (and sometimes even with) they can develop black lung.
Post hoc ergo propter hoc
