The Vette, original blue inside and out, now wears silver paint with a red interior, he said.

They ruined it.

Yep, and the insurance company will probably want their money back in today's dollars.

Yeah, I'm glad someone put old stolen car data into their database -- it's paid off.

Representatives of U.S. Customs and Border Protection, the CHP and the National Insurance Crime Bureau will return the car to Poster

Shouldn't they be returning the car to Poster's insurance company he had at the time it was stolen? They paid for it.

Except for the fact that it has an L88 hood and it's not a convertable AND it's a '68, it looks just like my '69.

Funny to see the windshield wiper door is screwed up on this one as well as mine.

They pimped it out. I wonder if it still has the VIN sticker on the left door jam that lists the correct color paint and interior color.

No gas tank? That's where the build sticker usually is, I wonder if that's why it is missing??

Being that the car was less than a year old when it was stolen, you would think that he did have insurance.

So maybe there's hope that my stolen car will be returned. It's only 25 years.
