Firefox is currently incompatible with any mac running OS X 10.2.8That's funny. I am sitting here at a G4, OSX 10.2.8, running Firefox... and wondering why you are having problems? I use it instead of Safari!

The repeatable bug is with OS X 10.2.8 and Firefox 1.5.
You activate any drop down window off of the forward or back button or elsewhere. You do that a few times in the course of browsing and Firefox will hang.
