if you want to by over-the-counter cold medicines Am I the only one who has noticed the ridiculous number of not just typos, but obvious grammatical errors (such as the above) in major news stories in recent years?
Obviously we aren't providing enough funds for art and music classes in public schools. /sarcasm.

In Texas all of these meds are now behind the counter.
A card that looks like the product is on the shelf and you take it to the counter in exchange for the actual product. It is like that here in Jacksonville, FL. I'd be slightly inconvenienced if I used over the counter medicines but I don't so I'm not.
Normally, I'd be pretty upset about this but I'm having a hard time becoming angry only because meth is some evil, horrible s**t.

I'll check at Sams the next time I'm there to see if they are doing the same thing. They would have to be, if it's the law in Texas.

Under the Dems we get nannyism and under the Pubbies we get paternalistic authoritarianism. What's the difference?

There are about 30 different ways to make meth, and most of the ingredients are household items, like Sudafed.
There's really no need to import that chemicals when you can go to Home Depot, Wal-Mart, and a beauty salon and get what you need.

This is pretty much like what they did years ago with airplane glue and spray paint - put it behind the counter so teens couldn't get easy access.
On a funnier note, our grocery store in PA wouldn't sell eggs to teens on Halloween night! lol

The Dims do it "for the children."
The Pubbies do it "because it is a sin."

80+% of the meth and/or ingredients come up from Mexico, mostly through illegal aliens.
Yet, virtually every state is focusing on over-the-counter cold medicines. Oh, and also iodine sold at feed stores. It's a power grab and and establishment of precedent for government rationing, IMHO.

"items that are potentially harmful to society have to be controlled....period"
The press, ideas, and books are the most potentially harmful things to society. For example, Al quada is merely a group of people united behind some ideas.
Should ideas be controlled?

I took my 14 yo son to the ER with chest pains. The ER doc's first question to my son was "Are you abusing Sudafed?". He explained to my son the importance of telling the truth. He then explained to me kids were taking large amounts of Sudafed to get high and suffering tachycardia w/chest pains as my son was. My son's problem was not Sudafed abuse. He suffers from Supra Ventricular Tachycardia and has a surgery appt next month. I was shocked to know kids were abusing Sudafed.

100% true.
Having 5 yrs between my own kids, there were times it looked like I was running a drug store. Meds for the grownups, meds for the 6 yr old, baby meds...
I HURT for this woman...
We had been talking with the cashier about this law the whole time. We agreed that the bad guys needed to be stopped and that it sure wasn't the cashier's fault, but we KNEW the bad guys were gonna find a way and then... BAM. The REAL tragedy...
