Another thing the hearings emphasized is the AGE of the Dem leadership. Leahy and Kennedy are ancient (not that Spector is a kid either) and Schumer and Feinstein are not far behind. Where is the up-and-coming leadership of the Dem Party, even among the Senate staffers? Answer: it doesn't exist!

Actually, Feinstein (born 1933) is older than Leahy (born 1940). And Leahy, at 65, isn't really "ancient" by Senate standards.
