And, if they don't filibuster, their left-wing wacko activists will punish them. One can only hope that they will somehow manage to form the traditional Democrat circular firing squad.

The delay also allows the memory of Mrs. Alito breaking into tears to fade. I think the public's empathic response to Mrs. Alito was so strong that it caused the RATS on the committee to tone their vitriolic rhetoric way down thereafter.

I certainly agree about the effect of Mrs. Alito's tears.
The media played and played and replayed that moment, doing no favor to their cohorts in the senate.
Everything that came the following day was anticlimactic.
The left thinks their pressure groups can change minds with ugly hate filled ads.
They can spend their money and will get nowhere......IMO
