I believe you totally misunderstood my post. I have never had a similar problem such as this with a school or transportation. Nor have I ever had a similar issue brought to my attention concerning my child.

My issues with the schools have been as follows:

1.Teaching kindergartners, or any grade, to celebrate a violent separtist communist holiday such as Kwanza.

2.A couple of issues not necessary to bring into the thread.

3.My most important and serious issue with a school system was the hiring of a convicted criminal as a teacher. Be careful, just because your Dept of Ed does background checks, does not mean they won't hire them. I am talking of teachers arrested for felonies who plead guilty to misdemeanors. Background checks are a false sense of security.

I was brushed off by a superintendent for confronting a situation this situation.

The more I researched and the more calls I made, the more I discovered why this can happen. You will find my answer in my previous post.

I apologize for not making myself more clear the first time.

Thank you all for you suggestions, thoughts and prayers.

This morning I will be meeting with pricipal of the school and his teacher. The immediate remedy, I'm sure, will be them changing his bus assignment, or me leaving work to pick him up an take him to daycare. I'm still wrestling with whether or not to pursue these matters will the bus driver in question. My prayers haven't yielded an answer, and my worldly thoughts tell me to make sure I don't let it happen to anyone else's kid. My son is the most innocent child you can imagine....and due to his disabilities, can't tell me about these things.

Thank you again, and keep us in your prayers. I will update the thread is there is anything substantive to report.

i'm a teacher... i KNOW how the system works....squeaky wheel and all...plus some of the so-called "support staff" are hard core union members (not that the teaching staff ISN"T---just a different union mentality) who really just want their place in the food chain. kids are ancillary and incidental.

school districts hate this kind of "public relations." that's why i think it is more effective to simply go to the top. if you are crazy and strident, you won't get very far. you give them an excuse to temporarily patch your problem, dismiss you for your attitude, and let the jerk stay where he/she is for the next kid to suffer while your kid got transferred.

not that there aren't really naughty children...i just think if you really have a case, you don't need to tolerate incompetence. thanks for letting me rant.

As it stands today, I will be having a meeting with several responsible parties on Tuesday. Included at the meeting will be the Superindendent, and the Bus/Transportation Supervisor. I have also found more corroboration for the events, as they were told to me originally. From anecdotal evidence and other personal conversations, the willingness of the long term employees/managers in the school system to address the situation will be marginal. We do however have a new Superintendent......

I haven't found out what the exact behaviour actually is/was on the bus though. The aide that is actually on the bus has been "left out" of the queries so far. We shall see, but I'm very curious as to her observations and actual recollections.

Thanks again for all your comments, concern, and hopefully prayers. Phil Southern

He only rides the bus in the afternoon, and the bus ride is relatively short (15-20min).
