I would cheer any form of "Evolution" in Arkansas!

Oh well. I doubt there's much to be done to change this. Sad.

I don't have a problem with teaching evolution in the classroom as long as labs are provided so students can observe the evolution process.

"Bob" could find another job if he's really that unhappy.

I don't mind them calling it evolution, as long as they teach it as a theory that is based on lies and presuppositions rather than facts.

Should I ping the whole list for this? It's interesting, but I donno if it's gonna be a hot thread.

I can make some comments about Arkansas and its citizens and make it a hot thread, if you like :)

"Maybe someday in science class, once they can make a cell in a chemisty lab. From simple chemicals like CO2 NH3 CH4 H2O etc, just the way evolutionists say the first one was made."
Evolution has nothing to do with the creation of life.
"Look at the Big Bang. That's a fairly recent theory, and it is already burning out. There are too many scientists who are saying this is rubbish."
Tom Wolfe should stick to writing stories. He is 180 degrees off about both evolution and the Big Bang.

Unfortunately (and I've lived in Arkansas), my advice to Bob would be to move.

And Tom Wolfe's scientific credentials are what, exactly?

But maybe not. See what Tom Wolfe said about it: Tom Wolfe: Look at Darwin. My God, what a powerful theory. Incidentally, I give that one about 40 more years, and it will go down in flames. Can you give me the date he said that so I can mark the passing of 40 years in my calendar? For once that *might* be a prediction I live to see tested.

So the site of the death of Creationism in science classes has found a new, sneakier method to get to the same end?
