The current GOP is bad enough. If they pander to the Hispanics, who like big government and huge social spending, we end up with a race to the bottom - who can promise more?

In that case, to Hell with both parties.

I understand that I am not going to persuade you. History will take care of that.

This border moon bat baloney is going to do more damage to the USA and to the conservative movement than any other known factor. You don't want to hear it but it is true. You are going to win in terms of seeing the GOP dragooned into this blunder. Enjoy your victory while it lasts. You are not going to get unanimous support. Don't waste your time trying to convert me. You won't convert me.

All this crap does is PRMOTE MORE racism. By constantly viewing people ONLY through skin colors - it continues to divide us. I get so angry at the GOP, in particular pandering to outright racism.

I happen to be Caucasian however I've got friends that are black, er light tan color, more melatonin than me ... and guess what? They want the best for their kids and they are VERY conservative. They cringe at Kwanzaa and don't celebrate it. I get so embarrassed when so called "conservatives" echo Hitler as the poster I replied do is doing.

What you say about Mexicans going to California versus those who go to Texax may be true, but it is still a matter of degree, as Hispanic Texans also favor the Democrats. It's most likely that not even Bush has ever won the majority of the latino vote in his 4 statewide races. Certainly his successor Perry, and the new Senator Cornyn didn't come close to their Democratic opponents.

Its not racist or shallow to notice that groups of people vote certain ways. And it is simply a fact that most Hispanics vote Democratic. If they didn't, then you wouldn't hear such advocacy for amnesty and increased legal immigration from the likes of Ted Kennedy.

Perry did not win the Hispanic vote in 2002, and its probably a safe bet that he won't this year either. He won for the same reason the GOP has come to dominate Texas; i.e. their routinely winning 70+% of the white vote.

Buchanan is right, but this is old news.

The fix is in.

Its certainly fair to point out Buchanan's failed political campaigns. But do you dispute the claim that Hispanics have consistently favored the Democrats by wide margins? I hope not, as its pretty-much irrefutable.

The problem with Buchanan's analysis of 1984 is that he is probably overstating Reagan's showing with Hispanics.

"Speaking of people on the dole ... did you know more WHITE people are still on the dole than blacks? "

Lets do the easy one first shall we? Not per capita. I know you think that you are a defender of blacks by claiming these lies but you are really the racist. Blacks are not helped by ignoring the facts about crime, out-of-wedlock birth, abortion, declining education, etc. Now lets tackle the other myth...

"For your information, blacks care about what kind of education and future their kids have too. It shows up in polls and surveys."

Hmmm lets see, they care about all those things yet a majority of blacks vote for they guy who forces them to go to underperforming schools, increased abortion, sex education, increased welfare, etc. In additiion a majority of blacks think that whites created AIDS, OJ is innocent, Farakahn is person of the year and that getting good grades is acting white.

Blacks have allowed the libs to paint them as blaming everyone else for their problems. Its people like you that allow this to spread and actually create racial hate and seperation and division. Bill Cosby is trying to do what others are afraid of and that is telling the black community to quit blaming others. They are where they are because of themselves not for any other reason. Every conceivable grant and welfare program is out there to help them but they contine to blame whitey for their problems. I guess you think Bush was to blame for Katrina as well?

Get your mind out of the gutter and start to look at how things are not what you want them to be. Race matters, I wish it didnt, but that is where the libs have framed the argument - we need to fight back and recognize that the cultures that make up America are different - e.g. Asians are not afraid to work hard and become educated eventhough they may be very poor.

If blacks really cared about all the things you said then they wouldnt as a community vote for leftest, put up murderers and Racist (JJ, Sharpton, Farakhan) as their role models, and quit blaming whitey for all of their problems.

The United States would not be in danger of a demographic death spriral like Europe if not for illegal immigration. For one thing, we admit about one million legal immigrants per year, and for another, the native birthrate is not alarmingly low as it is in Europe.

Oh BULL$#!T

Buchanan said the same thing when he left the Republican party. We couldn't survive without his great election winning leadership./sar

This dumb@ss has been predicting the demise of the GOP since he lost his first election.

"Has it ever occurred to politicians that even Hispanics want what is best for their kids? Color or ethnicity is not the issue. It's such a shallow and racist view to embrace - demographics by race."

I want to believe that, but there are real differences between cultures. The Anglo-Protestant culture that founded the US has different characteristics from the cultures that dominate Central and South America. The more people from those cultures who come here, the less strong the cultural underpinnings that gave us American society and American freedom as we've known it

"I get so embarrassed when so called "conservatives" echo Hitler as the poster I replied do is doing."

Please describe your Hitler reference - You have learned well from your liberal friends to disguise reason with emotion and rather than debate call people names so that you can defend the undefensable.

To believe that race doesnt matter is to belie the truth. Otherwise how do you defend BET, NAACP, LaRaza, LaMecha, etc...Ignoring these racist organizations doesnt make you better but instead makes you more of the racist. When the NAZI were committing their atrocities it was people like you who woould ignore it as well. Defining a conservative is not through talk but action - dont tell me they want all these things and then they vote and act otherwise.

I don't know what the effect would be on the Hispanic vote if Pres. Bush decided to begin enforcing our immigration laws. However, I don't see such political calculations as part of his constitutional duty to faithfully execute the laws.

Having said that, polls I have seen in the past indicate citizens of Hispanic origin want the immigration laws enforced (though in somewhat lower numbers than whites).

The demographics of the country are indeed changing, and not for the better. We are absorbing millions of poorly educated peoples, probably with relatively low IQs, from countries that don't seem to give a flip about western, democratic notions of government. The impact this will have on the future of this country is more than just troubling.

Buchanan's writings on our demographic shift are brilliantly (and sadly) on point.

Have you been brainwashed by PC propoganda? You sound like you suffer from a severe case of White Guilt.

Pointing out that various social pathologies hit the black community at significantly higher rates than other groups does not mean that one thinks of blacks as subhuman. [Who other than those with a far-left, guilt-ridden mindset thinks that way?] It is simply a fact. The reasons are many, but I hardly see how placing the blame on the failed big govt/grievance policies of the Democrats and reckless black leaders is an indictment of black people as a race.

And yes, more white people are on the public dole. This should come as no surprise seeing as how whites make up about 70% of the population (but don't worry, if current trends persist, then whites will cease to be a majority sometime about 2050, much to the delight of Bill Clinton!!!), whereas blacks constitute about 12%. but the more relevant stat is relative percentage. In other words, black Americans are more likely to receive some sort of public assistance. Are we supposed to just ignore this? Is it beyond the pale for modern-day political debate and discussion? What other non-pc things must be disallowed from public discourse?

And the poster you responded to was right about the ethnic interest groups like LaRaza; if a group were founded on similar grounds to advocate on behalf of whites, then it would be roundly derided as racist. And all of these groups like La Raza tirelessly advocate for leftwing policies, such as bigger govt and amnesty for illegals. They certainly don't represent the more conservative cultural values of the latinos they claim to represent.

And if anything is unworthy of a response, its your use of the leftist 'Hitler' tactic.

BTW, forgot to add - you've got a deal!

;)

I think I'll just ignore replies trying to validate THEIR OWN homegrown racism. By doing this they want to keep racism alive and well. They play right into the hands of those keeping others DOWN.

I know too many black families that go to the same private Christian school as my daughter ... and they are MORE conservative than MANY of those on FR! They don't have "race think". I view them as human beings made in God's image as the Bible says. They want their children to be successful in this life and beyond ... . I'd rather have them as my next door neighbor than some of the lilly white, materialist, self centered godless, dollar chasing over extended parents as neighbors in our development.

Lazy a$$holes, on the other hand, want a handout from the Democrats

Just so you know, the Lazy Asshole Republican aristocracy of SBC spend a hell of a lotta dollars in Wisconsin gaining certain rate and tax concessions.

Greed, my man, is NOT limited to Democrats. But the white collars and Saville Row suits are so much more palatable, eh?

...and the irony is that the GOP is in for some rough times--but because of graft/corruption, not the Hispanic issue.
