The second viola was a charming personality and we enjoyed her company in the annual Christmas celebration, but she apparently took her viola out of the case only for that program. She didn't seem to mind that her entire part was marked tacit--in pencil in the first viola's handwriting.
There arose a mild applause, aptly meritted by his flawless technique.
Sounds like something Leonard Pinth-Garnell would pan in his “Bad Symphony” sketch on SNL.
Has Peter Schickele performed this piece?
I’m not sure. I started looking this up three years ago, but I haven’t finished yet.
