Ok, there's people on here who knows the Bible better than I. I don't the phrases but you'll know what I'm talking about. There are scriptures in the Bible that says something like, blessed are the nations that protect Israel, for they shall prosper. And those that want to destroy it will suffer.

Now, The United States is Israel's greatest supporter and friend. Look at the US. We are the richest most powerful nation on the planet. Some call us a hyperpower.

Now, look at Israel's enemies. They aren't doing so good. Is this just a coincidence or is there something at play here?

At my church (Pentecostal) we gather to comfort the family with prayers and assistance (like preparing food, transportation, and whatever else we can do).

We know as Christians that a born again Christian is not going to perish to hell but to go to comfort of heaven. It is the family members left behind that grieve and need our support and love. If a family member has been struck by a serious but survivable illness we are there to comfort and support as well. This is the routine of all the churches I have been associated with since I accepted the Lord.

My point exactly. If you back Robertson's statement you'd have to be willing to accept the same punishment being handed out to all politicians (Americans included) who backed and enabled the division of Israel. It would be interesting to see how many FReepers would back Robertson if he made the same statements about an American president on his death bed.

I understand that Pat Robertson can be a bit over the top but I am not going to get nasty about him. I shall keep him in my prayers because I do believe he and all the rest of us are always in need of prayers. But with all the craziness out there why is it everyone seems to be so mad about this. I think he sounds kinda pathetic. But considering how some of the rest of the so called men of cloth in ALL relgions have been acting he seems kind of sad.
