Wow! Quite a catch! Hope someone with more tech experience than I have takes a screen shot before it's gone.
The MSM is putting out a crappy product. And they wonder why people aren't buying anymore . . .

Almost funny.
I wonder if this was supposed to be a reference to Bush the Elder, although I don't see how.

Gingrich was one of the primary architects of the GOP takeover of Congress in 1994, when Republicans swept into office in part by promising to rid Capitol Hill of Democratic corruption. Bush first campaigned for the White House as an outsider, too, promising to restore honor and integrity to the office, though he himself was ultimately ousted in part over an ethics scandal. Yep...still there. It's the ninth paragraph.

Rush says all the time that the MSM reports the news not as it is, but as they want it to be. This is an excellent example of their inability to keep their personal bias out of their work!

It's still up on the website. Has to be an editorial mistake, as they were talking about Gingrich in the first of the paragraph (who left amidst an ethics scandal, although charges were later dropped).

I wonder if this was supposed to be a reference to Bush the Elder, although I don't see how. Bush the Elder was anything but a Washington outsider.
To: TyroneSlothrop
But of course...there's no liberal bias in the MSM.

I would imagine that the reporter clicked the heels of his ruby slippers together three times under his desk as he typed it.

Thanks for the welcome. I've been reading FR for years, but just created a login yesterday to break the news about the Kilimanjaro landslide. FR was the first American media source for that story. By the way, I am technical and I have a cached snapshot of the ABC page, so they cannot repudiate it.

I agree; hence, why I couldn't see how.
Typically, though, there is some root to a typo in a re-drafted document.

"...though he himself was ultimately ousted in part over an ethics scandal." It is as Rush has said 100 times - the news they report is merely the news the way they wish it was. They live in an alternate universe.

It can't possibly be referring to GHWB, he was as much an "insider" as anyone ever elected president, and there was no scandal.
My guess is that the leftists at ABC just decided to print this and put the idea into peoples' minds. They figure that they can correct it anytime.
