Would love to watch the immaculate reception

Maybe it will be the "immaculate election".

"They were alluding to this during the ending of the WVU/Georgia game and the two announcers said they would be behind Swann all the way. Hope they live in PA!"

That was Brad Nessler and Bob Griese, if memory serves. Nessler lives here in the Atlanta suburbs. I don't know where Griese lives, but my guess is either Indiana or Florida.

Perhaps Swann could get Jack Lambert, Franco Harris, Rocky Blier, Jack Ham, or Mean Joe Green. I imagine some of those guys still live there. I doubt that Terry Bradshaw does.

Mean Joe did one of the all-time best coke commercials ever.

Wasn't one of them Bob Griese? I know he lives in Fla. Oh, well, I'm sure MANY well-known athletes will get behind him. I don't see how he can lose unless there's a major stumble on his part. Stumbling was never part of his game. He truly was as smooth as a swan on the field.

"He has no experience in office. Name recognition is not a qualifier. He doesn't have a chance."

Have you ever heard of Arnold Swarzenager (sp?) or Jesse Ventura? I don't think Ronald Reagan had any political experience (except with the actor's guild) when he was first elected governor of Kali-fornia, did he?

or here in GA, the UGA game. Otherwise known as the Sugar Bowl. LOL

Are you sure GA fans want to claim it? ;-) Wow, that was a ghastly defensive effort.

Like hell it isn't. And the way the founders MADE THE SYSTEM was for people with no experience but with IDEAS to be running things.

Yeah, like Fat Ted had experience when he ran. Give me a break. They all have to start somewhere.

I would love to see Swann clean Fast Eddie's(mob hitman lookalike) clock.

While I'm really not interested in the race angle one way or the other, Swann does seem to surround himself with good people and, I beleive, would make a decent governor.

A couple of things are certain-- the Republican nominee will either be Swann or Scranton. Nobody else has either the money or organization to pull it off.

While I like Scranton, he reminds me too much of Mike Fisher-- decent guy and very capable but boring. Boring doesn't win in Pennsylvania, especially against a crook with a well-oiled machine like Fast Eddie.

Swann is the only one who can give Fast Eddie a run for his money if he can generate the excitement. A couple of cute kids aren't going to hurt Swann's chances either.

I think he did when he went for the Senate.

but Swann has ideas. He has the moxie and the personality to get the ideas across.

The Dems in PA are going to have a conniption

You have to wonder if this race will come down to a matchup of Eagles' fans supporting Rendell vs. Steelers' fans supporting Swann.

It might.

But I think that would favor Swann.
