Toonces!
My DH gave a mouse a ride on his motorcycle once. He was halfway to work and looked down to see little gray field mouse sitting on his handlebars hunched up near his speedometer. He was doing about 60 mph at the time, and the bike has no fairing!
He slowed down to pull over, and the mouse freaked out and tried climbing up the bars and into the sleeve of DH's motorcycle jacket. Luckily he finally slowed down enough and rather than running up his sleeve the mouse bailed off the bike as DH was pulling into a gas station.

He's beautiful, put him on my deck and I will never know the difference. I feed 4 strays on my deck.

He's a real cutie. I'm not sure if that's gratitude I see in his face, but he sure does seem to be relieved!

One of our cats lost 3/4 of her tail because she loved to climb up into the car engines for a snooze during the hot summers.

A few years back I had a cat vanish for 2 weeks. I got a call from someone 30 miles away saying he turned up at their back door. They were in my town about the time he went missing. We figured he unwittingly hitched a ride in the back of his truck. Fortunately my cat was wearing a collar with a name tag & ph#.

Somehow, the cat avoided being mangled by fan blades and other moving parts as he clung to the car.More top-notch editing from AP. Underneath a car there are no fan blades, and very few moving parts. The exhaust system would be the worst danger.

Here's one of those wierdo cat stories (firsthand from a friend):
He took his cat to the vet about 7 miles from his house. On leaving the office, the cat was spooked by some dogs, jumped out of his arms, and ran into the adjacent woods.
He searched for the cat for hours, to no avail. Over the next few weeks he went back several times, and also told the vet's office to keep a lookout. Nothing. Put up posters in neighborhood. Nothing. After a while he figured it was either dead or had been "adopted".
Wouldn't you know that nine months later he heard some meowing on the front porch, opened the front door, and there was his cat.
The cat had no tags, and of course didn't have any maps or know how to ask for directions home. Just one of those strange cat things.
I know this story is true, because he was giving us (his pals) realtime updates fairly often at basketball games or whatever.
