Well not to be rude, but most of those monies seem far too little to sway a vote... some perhaps, but 2k or 500 sure isn't going to buy you a vote.

22k maybe 78k probably.. but most of those numbers are way to little to peddle too much influence.

Money, Mobsters, Murder [MUST READ re: Abramoff and Ney]

I don't know how accurate this is, but it doesn't look good.

Bob Ney (R-Ohio) $31,500

I agree but that is NOT the problem. The PROBLEM is that the facts of this story are being selectively reported. The ACCUSATION being made is ties to Abrahmoff are proof of guilt. OK. Work from that assumption.

Now explain the ties, by the very members of the Democrat Party MAKING THE ACCUSATION, to the SAME source of supposed corruption?

Notice the almost $400,000 given to the Democrat Congressional Comittee did not make it into this story. In fact not one Democrat is even mentioned. Why is that?

That's cool, but why not post BOTH parties? That would be even more helpful.

Question: Politicians receive money daily and do not check who they are receiving it from, so unless the politician did something in return for the money different than what he would have normally done(being influenced by the money) he has done nothing wrong, so who was influenced? Because until we know that this is a non-story.

From what I can see this is nothing more than politics by the MSM against republicans at this point. Republicans ought to be out screaming from the roof tops bias holding up a list of the dems also any time this comes up, and pointing it out any time a reporter opens his mouth

Republicans not campaigning against the MSM every time bias is shown is just stupid at this point especially with so many alternate sources of news....just keep point is out....people learn quick.

My point in this thread was to point out the slective reporting. This link will give you the WHOLE list. I personal have no opinion about Abrhamoff and really do not care what happens to him. That is why we have Judges and Courts to determine his fate.

Abramoff gave Charles B. Rangel (D-NY) $36,000........Rangel wrote to the NY Post:

I TOOK NO $ FROM ABRAMOFF
http://www.nypost.com/postopinion/letters/59716.htm
January 1, 2006

The Post has done me a grave injustice with the article, "Rangel's Wampum Linked to Scandal" (Dec. 27), printed beneath a headline that connects my friendship with the Native American community to an association with sleazy lobbyist Jack Abramoff. You imply this guilt-by-association despite my specific denial to your reporter that I know Abramoff or have ever, to my knowledge, taken a dime from him.

I repeat, I don't know Abramoff, have never met Abramoff and have never accepted a political contribution from Abramoff. But if I do find that any contribution I have received was made at the behest of Abramoff, I will return it. Contributions by Native Americans to my political campaigns have nothing to do with Abramoff but result from my legislative efforts in defense of Native American rights and sovereignty for many years.

I get it. I guess it's sort of ironic to decry selective reporting by selectively reporting. Seems like it'd make more sense to include the WHOLE list, which is what the MSM should be doing, doncha think?
