if a drug dealer sends a check to congressman X for $1000 (from a booty of ill gotten gains) - the congressman is guilty of taking drug money? its guilt by association, unless you can show the congressman knew the contribution came from drug operations, or promises some specific vote for that money, where is the crime?

While today's news is cause for optimism, questions still need answers:
1. Why were 9/11 hijackers, including Mohammed Atta, on Abramoff's SunCruz boat on September 5, 2001?
2. Who ordered and paid for the murder of Gus Boulis?
3. Why did Abramoff work for Saleh Abdullah Kamel (Osama bin Laden's banker) after 9/11? What exactly did Kamel pay for?
Everytime you think you've already got a handle on the insanity that happens over there, they bump it up to a new level.

I second the motion. The 17th amendment needs to be repealed and the in order to fix our broken system of checks and balances.

I've watched three news shows tonight and none of them mentioned any Democrats that were in trouble, only Republicans.
McCain's replacement (J.D. Hayworth) is near the top of the list. This was the only way the 'RATS could get him. Pretty disgusting.
