Bottom line, you need to see the replay.
Marcus could have ended the career of one of the nation's best LBs and cost him millions.
Not good for Ron Mexico's bro

I keep praying for my Falcons to jettisone Michael and get a real QB. The man is an amazing athlete and is very exciting to watch, but he is at best a mediocre QB and Atlanta will be no better than a mediocre team as long as he is there.
If Vick would move to a RB/WR SLASH type player he would be a superstar for years to come.

Good sportsmanship. Like all the head-slapping the Cards did? Like the penalty the Hokies had called for a legal hit on the quarterback? Like the dual penalties called when a Cardinal repeatedly hit a Hokie in the head who was just trying to hold the Card away?
Yep. Great sportsmanship.

I don't watch much college ball anymore or sports for that matter, especially after my Minnesota Goophers had the Brown Jug smashed over their heads, then got battle axed by Wisconsin, and fell apart in their bowl game. ;-)

Yeah. He should be playing for Florida State. He'd fit right in. Nope, he's not enough of a punk to be playing for Florida State. Or Miami, for that matter.

Something comes to mind about "two wrongs don't make a right..."
Besides, your pristine Hokies won the game...get over it...

Nope, he's not enough of a punk to be playing for Florida State. He shouldn't be playing for anyone.
He's Maurice Clarrett with an arm.

they said the same thing about Elway in Denver.
I think Vick honestly needs another year to develop.
If you look, his career has been rather close to that of McNabb's career.

YOu are arguing apples and oranges.
Head slaps happen on every play of every game, just as holding and hands to the face. Every team does it, every player does it. Also, you cannot hold the Cardinals liable for Officials incompetence and call it SPortsmanship. Sportsmanship has nothing to do with officials making bad calls. (and I agree with you the officials were pathetic).
But all of that really doesn't fall under sportsmanship -- it falls under gamesmanship -- and is completely different from a played deliberately trying to injure another player.

couple things...
this has NOTHING to do with Michael Vick. He wouldn't do this and never did anything like it in college.
Secondly, this is the latest in a number of incidents involving Marcus. Generally, most schools would have cut bait on him by now. What's holding back VT?
Finally, I get the feeling that eventually Marcus Vick will do something REALLY dumb that will get him suspended or banned from the game. It will be a shame, because he has quite a bit of talent.

Don't be silly... I must admit, I didn't see the play in question
LMK when you watch it. Until then, you're the one being silly.

who said he even considered pulling Vick from the lineup. Wow! The Hokies are tough on their players.

Generally, most schools would have cut bait on him by now. What's holding back VT? Waiting for the third strike, no doubt. Who knows how bad THAT will be.

that's all an assistant coach can do during a game.....
He has other things to worry about. Things like WHY they were getting their arse handed to them in the 1st half of that game.....

Head slaps happen on every play of every game, just as holding and hands to the face. When the play is over? In front of the ref? I know the difference between what happens on every play and violent blows to the head after the whistle blows.

I hope you are right about Michael. Like I said he is an amazing athlete, and has taken my breath away many a time. I guess I am just frustrated in his inability to run the offense straight up. He has gotten a little better at running games so maybe the light will turn on for him
I also agree with the difference between Michael and Marcus. Michael , er Ron Mexico, is by no means a saint, but he is also not the low life punk his little brother is.
