The NYTimes editors are guilty of conspiracy after the fact of a most heinous felony: treason. They should be tried, and if convicted, executed for treason.

"And the Republican Congress should be out there beating this drum day and night."

Problem is- the Republican Congress, is very silent on this right now. The only Republican we seen mentioned right now is- Arlen Specter. Over and over and over again- all we hear from the media about what the Republicans think- is that Specter is demanding an investigation. Where is everyone else?

Where the hell are the Republicans?
It's time to start hammering our Republican representatives- they must get out and start fighting for Americans.

I am emailing my congressman

Please explain, if possible, how the alleged "outing" of "Vanity Fair" cover girl Valerie Plame, has affected national security. From what I, and most informed Americans, understand, is that her obsolete status as a CIA agent, was, well, out of date, renders this story a non-issue for anyone but the most partisan of Democrats.

T R E A S O N.....pure and simple.....

From where I sit it would seem that treasonist acts have been and continue to be comitted. Am I wrong? If I am wrong I would like to know where the flaw in my thinking is.

Couldn't these papers and magazines that are printing this stuff be shut down? I'm all for free speech, but when these publications abuse their first amendment rights by printing secret govenrnment counter terrorist ops, then they should be shut down and their editors and reporters thrown under the jail. No?

No he or she should be stood up against the nearest concrete wall and machine gunned to death.

What have you got against a good rope?

"What have you got against a good rope?"

Living in a state where the Rope was commonly used against Evil Doers... Not a thing.

I agree in everything you posted. Everything you said could and should be used against those who leak this information, AND those who print it, in a time of War

Unfortunately, Constitutionally speaking.. we are not at war.

There has been no Declaration of War.

There has been no Declaration of War.

So there has to be an official declaration of war in order for the rules to apply? I thought that disclosure of and printing classified information was a crime reguardless.

Yes it is against the law, but Treason is a different matter. Sorry, should have specified that.

I'm sure you're right, but it feels like treason to me.

These people are traitors to their country and deserve a traitors punishment.

I agree with you completely. It feels Treasonous to me as well, and in the case of a Congressionally Declared War, it probably would be.

However, the Cowards in Washington District of Criminals did not give us that. They abrogated their responsibility so that they could continue to "fiddle while rome burns".

At first it seems so extreme when you call it treason, but that's what it really is. It sounds extreme because the very idea of working for our nations defeat, in order to gain domestic political advantage is so hard to believe.

When you think back about the Clinton/Lewinsky affair, isn't it unbelievable that the President of the United States could cheat on his wife in the oval office and not resign in disgrace.

Yair.

Right.

If only there was a "Republican" congress.

So if this is just a criminal case, why then is it taking so long for the reporters and editors responsible to be arrested?

OK, so it is just a criminal act. Where the hell are the Republicans and right minded democrats condeming the outing of our covert ops?

The silence is deafening from both sides. I'm starting to fear for the safety of my family. (again)

This current batch of politicians just don't seem to get it.

What is more astounding is that his party condoned it and defended him.

The older I get the more the democrats look like the communist parties of old. You know, the "Party" first, all else second.

Hard to say why it's taking so long to get this handled. However, as far as the politicians are concerned, they are not worried about your family's safety. They are not (for the most part) worried about our country.

They are only worried about getting re-elected and how much money they can steal from you in Taxes.

Otherwise, we would have had a Declaration of War, Sept 12th, 2001.

What's the Solution? Right now I don't know. But it can't hurt to call your congress critter daily and rake his/her butt over the coals until we do find the perps.

There has been no Declaration of War.

IIRC the courts have ruled that what Congressed passed was the functional equivalent, there being no formal set of rules for what is required in a Congressional Declaration of War. That said, it would have saved a hell of a lot of trouble had they used the "W" word in what they passed, even with all the problems of "W" against what? Jefferson got a Declaration of against the nebulous Barbary Pirates. If was good enough for our 3rd President, 1st Secretary of State and the chief author of the Declaration of Independence it is good enough for today. It would be a lot harder for the local members of the axis of weasels to argue we're not at "war" when they are on the record as having voted for "war" instead of something they can muddle up. They probably wouldn't have gotten as many votes for the resolution had they added the "W" word, but had Bush insisted on such I doubt it would have failed. NY would have tarred and feathered Schumer and HRC had they voted against it. Instead they weren't forced to choose sides in a meaningful way.

Leaking classified information that gives aid and comfort to the enemy is treason. Tokyo Rose was tried for treason for saying much the same thing the Times says now about a war... This is treason and should be dealth with accordingly.
