They couldso easily have been bringing home his coffin or watched him being beheaded on TV. This PC 'immersion' journalism baloney, the romantic Liberal Woodward/Bernstein school of journalism is sold to empty headed kids and the general dumb public as the only way to keep an eye on the evil feds/army and really know what's going on over there (wherever there is). If I were this kid's parent I'd be hopping mad, not only at him, but at Liberal journalism peddled by the MSM.
Not necessesarily, remember they are from Iraq
Not Home for Christmas!
He spent most of his trip in Kuwait and Lebanon and there's nothing that brave about that. I've travelled through Lebanon and I'm not even Arab-looking. As I understand it he was in Baghdad for a couple of days, holed up in a high-security hotel, only venturing out once. What is so incredible, courageous or advantageous about that? What is one trip to the market going to teach him? It's hardly "immersion journalism". If he was so devoted to actually LEARNING about things he could have learned some Iraqi Arabic from his parents and gone to some mosque in the USA that has Iraqi exiles and practised the language with them. I'm not impresses by this stupid, dangerous stunt.
I think he's about the coolest kid I've ever heard of and I wish more people were like him.
