Thanks so much-- Philadelphia is a even haul for me from the upper northeast corner of NJ, by the time I leave work I wouldn't make it before the FReep ends. Trying to figure out what I can do to help, tho. The DC FReepers are nothing short of inspirational.

Happy New Year!

I see that the Walter Reed Provost is STILL letting Code Pink hang their signs on Government Property (the fence). I had written the Provost about it, but never got a response.

You are the man! What a great thing to do! I hope other veterans here on FR will do the same, and encourage your VFW or other organizations to write, also. There are plenty of photos on the keyword "Walter Reed" threads for you to send along.

...they can sing "We Shall Overcome" all they want, but the truth is: Week after week, FReepers and allies are humiliating them. Not shaming them, that's impossible, but humiliating them by outnumbering them consistently in the heart of one of America's liberal strongholds.

Brilliantly true, Gadsdenman. Those girls are bigger weenies than the boy eunuchs they bring along. They can't win with the truth or on content, so they go with lies and abusive tactics.

The real blow came when FR started turning the tables on Gael Murphy. Code Pink was known for wearing pink underwear slips over their clothes during the last Presidential campaigns, going around saying "give Bush the pink slip!"

For the last two weeks, we have been chanting to Gael Murphy, the Code Pink DC leader, "GAEL! YOU FAILED! GIVE YOURSELF THE PINK SLIP!"

That has really gotten her goat. She stopped wearing pink and is afraid to show her face now. Last night she was so wrapped up in black and a muffler, all you could see was her manly nose.

She even brought a body double with her who looks like she used to look:

And bmwcyle photographed her calling on her cell phone as they were leaving.

Radical feminists want to be like men. Let her fight like one -- standing up for the truth of Code Pink's anti-American, gutter-political anti-Republicanism instead of pretending to campaign for better VA benefits and acting like a girl running for Daddy when their offense gets tackled on the playing field.

Maybe we should challenge Code Pink to a pillow fight.

What they need is a blanket party. (You throw a blanket over their head and beat the **** out of them.)

Code-pinko must have gotten all the crackhouses and whorehouses to complain. Those types are their speed anyway.

In defense of the neighbors, it's not that bad. The particular neighbor busybody who has made this her personal mission sounds like a typical Democrat yuppie government worker and complains because she says she has a baby in her house, which is 'way down the block.

I would suggest singing patriotic songs in unison, or experiment with different types of music to see what kind the pinkos absolutely hate; they may stop showing up. The whole idea is to make them a whole lot madder than you are.

My FRiend, Code Pink organized an anti-IMF rally that cost the city of Seattle $5 million in clean-up expenses. Code Pink donated $650,000 to the Iraqi "residents" of Fallujah who were making bombs to throw at our troops. They are not easily discouraged by anything that would shame a normal human being.

But we are "getting" to them anyway; that's why they have started to call their arch enemies, the Police, to play the "rights" card. It's their last gasp. We are unmasking them as the losers they truly are.

The whole idea is to make them a whole lot madder than you are.

Making them mad has already been done.
Making them go away is what remains to be done.
I don't care if they go away mad, glad, sad, disgusted or disturbed..as long as they go away.
I've insulted them as much as I dare, without using profanity.
I told Skirt Boy Friday night that if he didn't want people staring at him, he shouldn't wear his girlfriend's clothes..
I've called them ignorant morons and questioned their manhood, except for Gael of course, she's twice the man I am.
These idiots have no shame, no conscience, no class, and no sense of decency.
just like the dimocRATS..just like the klintoons.
Were I not required to operate under the rules of the DC Chapter, there would already have been urine filled water balloons, rotten eggs, and other various and sundry dirty tactics we rednecks are known to perpetrate against people we do not like.

Don't worry, I have a new surprise planned for them. They will think they are dealing with fools. The game is going to get harder for them. Gael doesn't know we see right through her.

The solution to that one lies within the literal definition...Make your next counter-protest/FReep exceedingly organized - think military precision...as in VERY ORDERLY! Chant whatever slogans in unison, on cue and perhaps with some sort of marching cadence to it. Everybody brings their biggest and best US flag, and a few service branch flags. Sing the "Battle Hymn of the Republic", sing the USMC anthem, sing "When the Caissons Go Rolling Along" etc...all to conclude before 21:30. Some esprit de corps...

If the MPD addresses you, you can very honestly tell them, "I am sorry, we not only have a permit, but also we are quite orderly and organized! "

A.A.C.

"Soldier - This FReep's for YOU!!"

I hear ya! The corridor on 95 between Baltimore and Richmond is particularly hairy. Even going through Delaware can be a nightmare, even during mid-day. I wish there was a better way to do it.

Re your #32 -

When it comes to music, the antivists don't have it all, you know.

I happen to be one of those contradictions in terms, musically; a conservative "Folkie".

If you have anyone musically inclined down there, try looking up these "oldies but goodies" -

"Rally 'Round the Flag" by George f. ROOT, 1864
"Battle Hymn of the Republic" ...OK, throw in "Dixie" so the Southern folk don't take it personal 'r nuthin.

"America the Beautiful"... "The Star Spangled Banner" (all 4 verses might be interesting)...there are oodles of 'em.

I wonder if Ted NUGENT were in town if he'd be willing to pop over and put on a concert for the patients there at WR that the pinko "guitar man" wouldn't soon forget?

Or just hand out lyric sheets for familiar tunes to the assembled company and all pitch in. If anyone really knows music, some harmony might be impressive - and even appreciated by a few of the "silent majority" in the neighborhood.

Keeping it acoustic is certainly a good plan for all.

If you can get away with it - got any good Fife & Drum Corps in the area? Reenactors tend to generally come down on the Conservative / Patriotic side, in my experience.

How about a Salvation Army Band?
They tend to run heavy on the bass side, and those tubas carry like a foghorn.

Now that would REALLY make the "heathen rage"!
Give 'em one "Nearer My God To Thee" and an "Onward Christian Soldiers" and the Pinko's heads will be spinning around spewing pea soup all over their bongo drums!

Hopefully the pinkos might be willing to take turns, like in any good, civil jam session - but the precident is that they will more likely try to outshout you or drown you out with their racket. It's what they do, you know.

But if you keep the decibels down to a reasonable level (whatever the Gendarmes determing that to be) and they get carried away in drowning your patriotic message out, guess who (hopefully)gets nailed for "disturbing the peace"?
See if they take the bait!

I'd reccomend someone taking video or at least recording for future evidence if needed. One of those decibel meters for discrete comparison might come in handy, too.

Music has long been a powerful influence - but it can swing both ways, you know, and does not have to be the exclusive domain of the left.

Re - "His favorite song tonight was "Knockin' on Heaven's Door."

Bob DYLAN, wasn't it?

That was one of the few popular songs of the '60s that I didn't mind too much - I liked it more for it's music than any "message" it might have had though.
DYLAN was a talented guy despite his "politics".

And I used to be right in love with Joan BAEZ, too, back when she did actual "Folk music". But then all of a sudden she couldn't open her trap without protesting something or another, and quickly waxed obnoxious about it.
She seems to have stuck to it to this day, unfortunatley.

What a waste of such a beautiful voice, I opine...

But at the time, a Musician pretty much had to be in the Socialist camp if they wanted to sell records or get gigs.
A lot of them took to it naturally enough, but it seems that a few sold out.

Re- "I would recommend singing Green Berets in response. "

Sgt. Barry SADDLER, wasn't it?

One of the very few "counter protest" songs that got any air time during the '60s, and actually made the top 10 list for a while IIRC.

"Duke" WAYNE came out with a movie by a similar name which went against the Hollyweed grain too, and for a time seemed pretty popular.
