I don't know whether Rudy is a scumbag but he is pro gun control and that is pure poison among the Republican electorate, especially in the South. You're right, he wouldn't get the nomination if the Southern vote in the primaries is decisive.
If Condi Rice get the GOP nomination for 2008, I'll not be voting for her.
I refuse to vote for any candidate that actively works to harm Israel, or who is a shill for Palestinian causes.
And that describes Condi Rice exactly.
