That was basically what the message was today. I think there were two or three programs, and they were two hours each. Then they followed it up with the history of space probes. Excellent stuff. Most of it was "new" so that was good.

Shame that so much that gets blamed on NASA is a result of long years of budget squeezes, politics that didn't see the worth of it, having to make do, and really having problems with vision. Sigh.

One of the things that plants can tell you, by multi-spectral analysis, is the mineral health and wealth of the places they are growing.

We'll have to make do, in our quest, with direct mineral observations, but we'll try some experimental radar and X-ray techniques.

...but my vacations usually consist of 2 weeks, which are 2 short, after which I get 2 tired to return 2 work and 2 broke not 2.

LOL!

I spent the first five years of my life on an island, so I like the beach, too!

Well, they won't be looking for pine bark beetle damage to ponderosa pine on Mars, that's for sure...

That was in the last segment on space probes. Congress defeated the $10,000,000 SETI bill, so a guy named Bruce became a prfessional fund-raiser.

Now there is the SETI Institute. Good work!

(I'm actually very happy that I could remember this long enough to convey it...usually, things don't stay too long...)

The Dems would be better off without the "progressives" who are actually socialists and communists.

I just let the poor cat outside and he looks totally dejected because of the rain. Nimh was born outdoors and we tamed him. He's become a sissy. We have to use his personal towel to dry him off when he gets wet.

"... so much that gets blamed on NASA is a result of long years of budget squeezes ..."

What we are describing here is the proper way to go into space. In force, with a multitude of talents and an attitude of "Let's take the time to do it right."

If NASA had had access to the procedures and devices we've been describing, there would be colonies on the Moon and Mars already.

Learning something new is my favorite hobby...which is why I keep drifting into history studies. History of technology, social history, economic history, history of crafts....
