I'm just saying that even in the war on terror we must be vigilant regarding the powers we grant to the government, because all another administration has to do is redefine who is a "terrorist".
To protect gun rights we have to allow terrorists protection from wire taps? You don't see another way that accomplishes both?
Yes, there is a way. We start by declaring Islam is not a religion but a terrorist organization, and as such deserves no protection under the first amendment. Then, using the RICO statutes (thus getting all the wiretaps we need in a legal manner) we prosecute and deport all muslims from this country, seal the borders and we're done.
See how simple that is?

BY DECLARING ISLAM IS A TERRORIST ORGANIZATION AND NOT DESERVING OF FIRST AMENDMENT PROTECTION WE CAN PROSECUTE THEM UNDER THE RICO STATUTE, LIKE BEING ABLE TO GET THE PHONE RECORDS, MEMBERSHIP ROLLS, CONTRIBUTION RECORDS, AND RECORDINGS OF SERMONS FROM MOSQUES AND SUCH UNDER A NORMAL WARRANT LIKE THE GUMMINT HAS USED AGAINST THE MOB FOR MANY YEARS. THIS INCLUDES GETTING WIRETAPS AGAINST MUSLIM AMERICAN CITIZENS THE NORMAL, LEGAL , EXPEDIENT WAY. FURTHERMORE, WE KNOW WHO IS HERE FROM EXPIRED STUDENT VISAS, OVERSTAYED GREEN CARDS ETC. IF THE FEDS WOULD JUST DO THEIR JOB USING THE LAWS ALREADY ON THE BOOKS.
