America has succeeded because for most of its history, it was mostly libertarian.

Libertarianism has failed because for all of its history because it has relied on such false assertions.

Right. Cite a book without a managing to produce a single quote from it.

"Right. Cite a book without a managing to produce a single quote from it."

One cannot boil such a book down to one quote. That is how liberals think - in sound bites and drive by quotations. Apparently you share that method of argument and thought.

But, if you insist, The Friedman's (Milton and Rose) begin their book with a quote from Justice Louis Brandeis, "Experience should teach us to be most on our guard to protect liberty when the government's purposes are beneficial. Men born to freedom are naturally alert to repel invasion of their liberty by evil-minded rulers. The greater dangers to liberty lurk in insidious encroachment by men of zeal, well-meaning but without understanding."

It appears one cannot find so much as a single quote in it to support his deliberate misrepresentation.

Apparently you think that government can solve all your problems better than you can, so, don't bother to read the book. You have demonstrated a lack of desire for understanding, as well as intellectual laziness. I doubt it would change your mind, but I highly recommend it for anyone who wants to understand the relationship between freedom, economics, morality, and prosperity.

Apparently you think that strawmen are a substitute for facts, quotes and cites.
