link to story at Independent
There are already cities in the US working on tracking who comes and goes (mainly Floriday), and with lawmakers getting a pseudo-national ID through the backdoor (in the form of requiring certain standards for state licenses else they withhold federal taxpayer money from the state), don't be surprised to see ths in the US in five or ten years. People are fast becoming used to cameras everywhere.
As long as the politicians say it's "for your own good", most people in the US will bend over for them.

If just posting a link is a no-no, please remove this (in other threads FReepers have indicated to me it's okay to post a link, but no excerpts).

Very creepy. I'm not a fan of the nanny state and i'm not a fan of having the government know where you are at all times, and everyone you associate with. I know there have to be some tradeoffs of liberty for security in the post 9-11 era, but I really worry that giving the government tools like these will come back to haunt countries like us and GB. There will come a day when we will see a curropt President, or Prime Minister really abuse these powers. If the US government ever tries to put in something like this i'll fight it tooth and nail.

As long as the politicians say it's "for your own good", most people in the US will bend over for them. Most Americans remain in the bent over position permanently, just to make access easier for their masters.
