Capital punishment is illegal in Europe, where many people consider it barbaric."How can they take the life of Tookie Williams? He's not Jewish! This is an outrage!"

Jeez, those Austrians are awful sensitive to the execution of one gang banger. Must be cumulative, after they allowed the extermination of so many Jews/Gypsies/undesirables, this ONE life was one too many.

Kinda thought the ring return was tacky and the name removal request was pretty childish on Arnolds part. IMHO

What a perfect name for the deputy mayor,... Walter Ferk. Hey Walter, shut the Ferk up!!! Go Arnold!!!

Good move on Arnie's part.

Siegfried Nagl, mayor of the southern city of Graz, said he dashed off a letter to Schwarzenegger pleading with him not to return a ring of honor bestowed on him by officials in his birthplace in 1999 Siegfried is an idiot!

Walter FERK, the deputy mayor of Graz, said Schwarzenegger's decision to allow executions to go forward makes him "an unsuitable godfather for a public building."
Go FERK yourself, Walter

So, you think Arnie was being childish do you? I say Ferk got what he deserved for opening his Austrian piehole, direct consequences of his stupid critism. They seem to want to be associated with Arnold's name, and enjoy the tourist dollars coming in,until he does something that's not in agreement with the Euro-weenies, so STFU deputy mayor.
I hope he'll nohhwt be bahhwk. I'm prouder each day that Arny's our Gov.

Kinda thought the ring return was tacky and the name removal request was pretty childish on Arnolds part. IMHO Funny, that's about exactly what a lib I work with said. Of course, had the governor originally been from Texas and granted clemency to a thug, upsetting people in his Lone Star hometown, I'm sure this guy would have loved it, had the governor told them to take his name off their football stadium.
I have not been a huge supporter for Ahnie and didn't vote for him; however, this move was brilliant.

Arnold has handled this flap like a pro. I Austrians have learned that political grandstanding can have real consequences.

I disagree, some underlying start a petition and Arnie hits back at everyone in the Village that had shown support, throwing their generosity in their face. Then he (the guv) puts out a pr release showing the world he was being childish in a petty little squabble that the mayor was not involved with.
