Please be assured that my responses to you are NOT made in anger. They are more in line with comic relief.

While most of us here at FR are very tolerant, please be assured that you are fooling no one. We actually enjoy your evasive answers. And in some cases, your "non" answers.......

So George Allen is not in a position of being able to voice a position in favor of open immigration.

Allen is not in favor of open immigration. Anyone who reads what he actually says and understands what he says will know that.

Allen's problem, if he has one, is that he's far smarter from the average arm-chair political pundit.

He takes a position because he's read and studied it. Not because it's the popular sound bite of the day.

There's another hit piece from Human Events posted here this morning. Someone's scared of Allen because they know he's emerging as the front runner.

And trust me, I've known George Allen for 20 years. The thought that Marky Mark could beat him in a head-to-head match up is laughable.

Warner knows that.

Potential 2008 Republican presidential candidate Sen. George Allen (Va.) declined Wednesday to support the idea of a fence separating the United States and Mexico, but said he would back a guest-worker plan as envisioned by President Bush.

Well, I'm now not calling them RINOS anymore...

They are officially "Brokeback Republicans"!

Not one of them seems to have a spine outside the honest-to-goodness Conservatives (Pence, Tancredo...)!

If some enterprising Conservative FReeper who has photoshop skills (Devolve, I'm looking at you!) could please 'shop some Cowboy Hats on the following pic...

Now about that pudding they serve at R(I)N(O)C HQ and La Hacienda Blanco....

Thanks for ping. One thing I would do is to make the Mexicans responsible for any border crossings by terrorists. If one comes through, the President should impose 'serious consequences' on Mexico. Give Mexico a stake in our protection.

As a front runner emerges, start throwing stones. I agree with you that the Human Events article was a hit piece. Only a neanderthal would have a difficult time figuring that out. However, it does seem that some FReepers proudly took the bait.

How sad......
