It's ingrained in their culture.

But the attitude he represents is far from extinct among his former colleagues throughout the most prestigious media institutions.

Very good article...

a bit off subject ...is anyone discussing MSNBC advertising on DU and leftist blogs? I think it is very bizarre

Guardian piece here, their choice of commentators doesn't look very balanced either (surprise).

Who can forget Walter Cronkite saying that the country really doesn't derserve democracy right now( "We are on the precipice of being so ignorant that our democracy is threatened.” ) They have their heads so far up that dark orifice of self importance that they are incapable of understanding their own ignorance, but thankfully its not democracy that's threatened, just their own godlike image of themselves. It's pretty funny, really.

Mike Wallace revealed to a Boston Globe reporter that he’d like to ask President Bush:

Yes, and his son Chris recently told Boston radio host Howie Carr that the elderly Wallace had "lost it."

I did. It begs the question with the Liberal Media: Where does fact end and opinion begin?

Thank you for posting this. Saw this on Lucianne today and was going to post it.

It is indeed a scary thought that this man had the power he did. But it is so refreshing to see the demise of the Grey (insert/self edit).

We live in a time of new truths here on sites like this one.

The Bush family might have money, but at least the have CLASS!

I said something similar back in November 1992.

While I agree with the content, this article is poorly written - bloated and cliched.

Conservatives need more Mark Steyns and less of this.

Walter had a few screws loose. But the Dan forced him out. Fitting, don't you think?

He [George W. Bush] adopted the full agenda of redneck America.

The unwwashed sub-humans from whom he escaped the accident of birth are so stupid that even as transparently stupid and evil a man as George Bush can fool them.

..I too was once an unwashed subhuman...but now I'm a polite clean northern liberal

..Raines in his early years growing up in the south..
