Mexico has long opposed treating undocumented migrants as criminals

And what is the status of "migrants" who sneak into Mexico from Central America?

Fine! If they wish to act like Mexico is an extension of California, let's take it over, take their oil and make it state # 51!

Imagine the outrage if a U.S. diplomat called for groups to lobby against Mexican legislation.

Shut the border...cut off the money transfers...and deny Mexico any loans. Watch the peso implode.

The oil revenues wouldn't begin to cover the increased welfare.

Sorry, they are conquering this nation house by house, street, by street, and town by town, etc. Not one shot has been fired in that department. They have a 50 year lead on us. We have very few elected leaders willing to put an end to it.

We don't even realize we are at war with these people...

Won't happen. We have spineless bafoons in DC. Very few of them willing to stop this invasion...and control of our own country by a third world sespool...

"and he called for U.S. groups", I wonder which groups these would be? I am sure I already know the answer to that question tho'.

They are called "illegal" for a reason.

We can only wish we could enforce our southern border as well as Mexico does theirs.

What increased welfare? Most of them are already here! Also, they would be keeping their money in the USA and it could be taxed.

Does anyone have a link to the wording of the bill?

Teddy Roosevelt would send a gunboat to shell Mexico City.

Earlier this year, Vincente Fox, came to the U.S. to speak to his people. He claims more than 10% of his population lives here in the U.S. How many are we off in our count of illegal aliens. We need to go back 20 years and review all recently made citizens and check for crimes committed, and other pertinent information that could cause them to LOSE their citizenship and be deported...

We did not take Mexico to raise as our own children. I am tired of being taxed to support a third world nation that has no respect for us... END IT NOW...

I'm sick and tired of cranky Mexicans and the ethnic hustlers that love them. Geez.

Perhaps Secretary Derbez could direct all that energy and organizational effort - at legislation to eliminate corruption and poverty right there in Mexico, so his fellow citizens wouldn't want to go to the trouble of emmigrating illegally.

(just a thought)

Besides, in the current climate - he's probably helping the legislative effort.

That is funny. In reality, there are about 110 million people living in Mexico...95% of whom would qualify for welfare in the United States based on their current incomes.

This is the threat Mexican presidents hang over the U.S.'s head. Let off some of the steam through illegal immigration or the cesspool will collapse entirely and immigration will increase ten-fold. As a practical matter it is time to call Mexico's bluff, shut the border, and make the 40 families that control the wealth down there grow up and act like adults instead of s*cking off Uncle Sam's t*t to preserve their oligarchy.

He won't. It is too profitable for Mexico to straighten out their own country...

No incentive by the elites. Wall Street has too much money tied up down in Mexico plus cheap labor for U.S. companies. The Bush family is trying to extend its dynasty by grooming half-Mexican George P. Bush for office. He'll need La Raza to win.
