Maybe "King Kong, Version Twenty-Three" will correct all the problems.
Could I have a "God's Blessing", Please?

I did not read the entire article. I never would have even thought about what this guy is talking about. I go to movies to be entertained, I don't sit there and over analyze ad nauseum.
I agree with the other poster, this person has too much time on their hands.

I just sent in my own reply to the website. I don't know if they'll accept it for posting. I strongly suspect I just gave them my e-mail address and will be getting a lot of spam for it. Here's what I wrote:
I don't know about Mr. McKenzie, but my man can't wait to drag me in to the theatre to see this. And why not? Kong's not the monster. Kong is the HERO. He's big, he's black, he's brave, and he's proud. Sure he gets involved with a little white woman, and gets nothing but trouble for it from some little white men, but if anything that's racist against intolerant little white men. How about Mr. McKenzie take a look at the average public schoolyard the monday after King Kong opens? How many schoolboys will be pretending to be wierd and white Jack Black? How many will be pretending to be the brave and mighty (and black) King Kong?

If there's an award for the most socialist response, she won handily.Quoth she, "I am a white working class woman". Sadly, only too true,re socialist. I used my GOOGLE (UK) and being as Livesey is not too common a name, I found a Louise Livesey. Now this lady is a Project Co-ordinator for a Southwark Higher Education project. Ah, the working class woman aspect of it.
We of the working class full well know of "project co-ordinators". I wonder if this well paid functionary of local government is the same Louise? If so, in the words of the old costermongers song- "I turns me back upon the whole society..... etc" This PC is getting worse. LOL

The only demographics that I can figure to which they might appeal are LSD users. LOL!! The reliving a really bad trip crowd. Assuming they are all in their 50's now you would think that's something they would care to forget.
BK has gone from "where's the beef" to "here's the creep". Not good.

When I saw that commercial for the first time, my first thought is that guy is thinking "I was not THAT drunk last night!"
I'm mad at Burger King for even putting that thought in my head.

If that's her, just as I suspected: she's in academics. Her response was like a quote from any cultural-anthropology text book.

This is so rediculous.... no outlandish...... no, just plain stupid. I'm becoming more convinced the true racists in this country are not white.

I heard Gerraldo Rivera refer to Opra Winfrey as OpraKong. My mind immediately went to Opra to wonder what her take on that characterization of her would be.

The vast majority of Moors were Arabs and other tribesmen of North Africa and the Middle East--NOT black men.
Moor means black in the same way that a lot of cultures used the term to talk about people who were merely darker haired or more olive in tone.
