Well, as history has it, every time a SOCIALIST government takes over, IT FAILS.

The problem is that Chirac is labeled a conservative by the media. He might be conservative by French standards, but certainly not by ours. It seems they have the same problem as Latin America. They have a choice between bad and worse. Anyone who is decent or tough is labeled a criminal or an extremist by the leftist media. Such was the case of Pinochet.

whoa
whats the probability that sarkozy steps in?

isn't sarkozy who referred to the muzzie yutes as "scum" or something comaparable? although it doesnt have a soft palestinian ring to it, the naturals thought it was a hit. perhaps the naturals will propel this conservative to the top...

This must be the model the DNC and the MSM use.

I'm probably one of the few people who actually has never had any problems in Paris (aside from my old man getting pickpocketed by some Algerians... even the police referred to them as "North African scum") or with Parisians in my three trips there. But, like everyone else has pointed out, outside Paris (and outside nearly every large European city), the locals seem to be a lot more friendly to Americans.

I think the vast majority of French were horrified by the riots, and were more encouraged by Sarkozy's words and actions than Devillepin/Chirac's. They want to see major immigration/integration reforms that would not be seen under deVillepin.

One thing is for sure, if Sarkozy is the next President, French relations with the US will be a lot warmer.

It's fun watching these moronic leftists fall like Dominoes...especially after they pinned their hopes on Jean-Fraude Kerry in the U.S. elections. I guess some of them are finding out that screaming anti-Bush platitudes is not leadership, it's child's play. Like street theatre with Bush = Hitler puppets. The TRUTH is winning, folks!

Go FReepers - we are fighting the good fight - our opposition is fighting for the forces of evil. We know we are right!

Yes it's time for Chirac to join his anti-American buddy Schroeder in the historical loser bin.
