Where's all the Katrina relief money that was given by the million in the weeks after the hurricane?
Bush 41 and Clinton were in NO last week.....Not sure when the money will be given to the states.
http://www.wwltv.com/local/stories/wwl120705presidents.485908e7.html
Former Presidents George Bush and Bill Clinton announced how $90 million of Katrina donations would be dispersed in the affected states.
The announcement came at a press conference at the University of New Orleans Wednesday afternoon.
Donations include a gift of $30 million to colleges and universities, which include UNO, Tulane, Loyola, Xavier, Dillard, Delgado, Holy Cross College, Nunez and other colleges in south Louisiana and Mississippi.
There will also be a $20 million donation to ministerial partnerships for faith-based works in the wake of Katrina.
And, $40 million will go to the governors of Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama to help in relief efforts that might have fallen through the cracks of the general relief efforts.
Nearly $100 million has been donated by 3,000 donors so far.

So, where did this irrational belief in a trailor fairy come from?

" FEMA trailers are only going in at a rate of 7 a day although 20,000 are sitting in fields in Mississippi and Louisiana."
Just heard on the news today that only 1,000 of the trailers have been given out.

Like the `morning wood' fairy?
In any event--Bush's fault. It's a mantra.

Do you know if the governors of Mississippi and Alabama seized the opportunity for a photo op to appear with Louisiana Gov.Memaw Blanko at this event?
ANSWER: No, they did not ... they found it more appropriate to send their first ladies/wives to appear with Louisiana's first lady/governor. LOLOLOL!

Have you also heard that, by "executive order" in New Orleans, FEMA is ripping up all the parks [Audubon Park has been exempted up to this point] and laying water/gas/electric stuff for the trailers that are going to go in those parks???? It has not been getting much notice so far.

A number of evacuees stuck in hotel rooms and unfamiliar surroundings across the U.S. oppose the celebration. They say they are in no mood to party.
Let's see:
- They are not in the mood to party ...
- They are not in the mood to leave their hotel rooms ... ain't got nothing to do but sleep all day ... hiring lawyers to insure that they can keep their entitlement to hotel rooms, room service, bar tabs/happy hour forever ...
- Now, not in the mood to party ...
- And, certainly not in the mood to get a job ... or to work to clean up the mess of their lives.
Just what are these folks in the mood for? Anyone know?

Guess they are in the mood for a protest..... Seems to me they are enjoying the media attention.

Yes, I knew about that. Part of City Park as well as various other smaller neighborhood parks have been taken
over. Many think that the city council should have been consulted. Nothing is going through normal channels here.
